I am taking my DD5 for our first prime time dinner this friday. (Nothinglike waiting for the last minute) Surprisingly we actually got a PS for 6:25.

Now I have looke at the menu and everything looks good. What do you consider the best meal / drink there?

Thanks!

Last year I had the meatloaf which was excellent. Dh had fried chicken, of which he gobbled up. Real comfort food. I can't comment on anything else other than the s'mores which were huge and good, but not outstanding.

Definately the Chicken!

DD who wasn't feeling too well said that this "Home Style" cooking is making her feel much better!

Stay away from the pasta though! Not impressed.

Meatloaf looked good but I hate meatloaf so I would not go there.

Also the Chocolate Shake! Two Thumbs Up! It is so thick and delicious!

Enjoy! It's on our must do list now!

Although I have never had it, I have heard good things about the PB&J Shake.
Also for me, the Fried Boursin Cheese Appetizer is my favorite!!

We just ate there Saturday for lunch. It was our only meal of the day so we each ate Beef Stew. It was good, but I think too salty.
I would probably order something different. But it was still good.

oops ---- correction. It was Pot Roast, not Beef Stew.
It is good. Just a little too salty for me. I liked it. But would probably order something else.

Thats my problem. It all sounds so good. Was there anything but pasta and the salty stew that we should stay away from?

I second the Pot Roast - It is delicious. My Dh absolutely loves the Pork Tenderloin, too. We will be dining there in 3 more days and now my mouth is watering!

But I had the pot roast and was unimpressed. It was tough and flavorless. The vegetables that came with seemed to be the kind you take back packing with you- dehydrated and they hadn't done a very good job at rehydrating. The desserts were great and I was wishing for the chicken when I saw others odering it.

The Pot Roast was very good. The gravy is yummy.

I ate there for lunch a few weeks ago and the pot roast I had look like the dog didn't want to eat it so after it sitting around a while they served it to me, I got sick from it, I think I ate a few bites, that was bad

I love the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I got onion rings instead of the green beans and they were awsome!!!!

Have Dad's sundee for desert and is huge. Dh and I together can not finish one!!

The Smores are GREATTTTTTTTTTT! (And one order is large enough it needs to be shared.)
We have only had them once, and I am not big on smores. But theirs are out of this world! :space:

Here's another vote for the fried chicken and mashed potatoes!!

In Oct. I had the Pot Roast and Dh had the fried chicken we thought both were yummy.

I had a steak sandwich on a crusty bread with cheese (Gorgonzola?) and some onion strings and it was very, very good. It was cooked just the way I like it. My friends had fried chicken that looked and smelled great.

DD (12) and I shared the Smoked Trout Dip appetizer in Oct - should have ordered one each as we fought for the last scoop! (I had pot roast and DD had shrimp pasta entrees and both were good. Shared banana split for dessert - yummy!)

Fried Chicken was terrific. Also - the PB&J shake! At first, I thought the PB&J shake sounded gross, but its excellent. Sort of like a vanilla milkshake with some peanut butter and jelly mixed in. TERRIFIC.
