What would you rather get?

We are having a hard time picking favors for the wedding. Since we are having a Disney wedding we don't want the actual wedding to be overly Disney, especially since our families are anti-Disney. I orginally bought the plastic slippers and I was going to decorate them and put M&M's in them, but after looking at the cost for buying them and the decorations and candy it is about the same price as some other ones that our guests might like better. so if you were a guest would you rather have a decorated shoe with candy, just a box of candy (which are super easy and less stressful and time consuming than the slippers) or a bottle stopper??

Box of candy! That way I could eat the entire thing (potentially in one sitting!) and not have to bring anything home with me to gather dust on the shelf!

Just a suggestion, if you wanted to do a box of M&Ms you can get those personalized ones (I heard they were a little pricey but worth it--I never got them), that way it's not just a 'plain box of candy.' You can put your initials on them (or even an image of a glass slipper so it's subtle) and get them in your wedding colors.

I say something they can eat!! I've catered many weddings and often the favors get left behind, esp. if they aren't useful. Like seeds or jars of honey/jam. With the candy, they eat it then and there.

I say candy for the ladies and bottle stoppers for the men. I think the bottle stoppers look real cool. You can get Disney ones too.

Candy...I think favors are just an added annoyance for brides.

I gave out pictures in a little 2x3 frame and everybody loved them and actually took them. All the other things like coasters and the other things just seem like they would collect dust. If I didn't do the frames I would have done candy.

The box of candy. I could eat the cand then toss some of my daughter's hair accessories in the box and viola! - the kid has a neat little place to keep her stuff. I've planned so many weddings and the food favors are always a hit. The glass slipper is cute, but really, what are people going to do with them?

Definately candy!! I went to a couple of weddings where we had candy and it was nice for those moments you are waiting for food or waiting for the bride and groom to show up from their photo sessions.

candy...something good, though, not jordan almonds. (ok, I realize that some people may actually like jordan almonds, but if it were me, i'd prefer to get a box of m&m's...)

my mom did the little slippers with purple and silver m&m's for my shower - even I didn't know what to do with the slipper after ... But, all the m&m's were gone, and people used the little bags she put the slippers in and filled them with m&M's from a bowl she had out with the extras!

I think we decided to do $1 scratch-offs! Our wedding is in April, so we're going to start looking for heart tickets around Valentines day. We're going to put them in stamped envelopes with our names/wedding dates or something like that.

And yes I agree about the Jordan almonds. Having been a bridesmaid almost 15 times, I can say if I see another one, there will be DOOM!!
