What would you pay for this washer/dryer?

We are replacing our current washer and dryer. The one we have is older, about 8 to 10 years. They both run just fine and have never given us any problems. Both have some dings and scratches but nothing you wouldn't expect in a set of this age. How much should I realistically except to be able to sell them for both seperately and as a set?

Are they a name brand "Maytag" or a store brand "Kenmore?"

Do they have lots of bells and whistles, re: cycles and water temps, or basics only?

Are they a matching set?

This would all make a difference to me.

I would look at prices for new comparables and think you could probably get about 25% of what it would sell for new.

when we bought our first house, I sold the older w & d that were there for $100 for the set. They worked but I already had a brand new maytag set.

They are a matched set of Kenmore, beige, and both were middle of the road when they were new. I would think to replace them now with similar quality would run around $1000 for the pair. I'm not sure I'd pay $250 for a 10 year old used set no matter how well it seems to run. One day in the not too distant future one or both will have some problems I'm sure.

I wouldn't think you'd get more than $100 especially since Sears in always running sales with no payment or interest for 18 mo. A new basic Kenmore set can be had for around $600.

I'm thinking asking $100 each or $150 for the pair. Does that sound reasonable?
