I don't know if this is the right place to post. We are leaving in 8 days...I used to live in Florida and I forget what it is like in Feb. what would you pack for 4 kids, DH,and yourself? I know shorts, but do I need sweatshirt and jeans for night??? I don't want to pack unnecessaries because we are driving down and we will have a washer and dryer in the unit:cheer2: , so no need to pack a huge amount.

Suggestions???:confused3
THANKS!!!

A parka, gloves, hats, earmuffs...at least that is what we needed last February. I had none of the above and froze my butt off. I had four layers of sweatshirts on and I was still freezing some nights and even days.

We are going next week, (we are FL residents) in Feb we bring shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts and JACKETS. Our last trip up in NOV we didn't bring coats and ended up buying them. It gets chilly at night (40's and sometimes 30's) which isn't that bad, but the breeze is what gets you! 40's and windy is BITTER especially when you are thinking...hmmm florida...warm. LOL

What Kandeebunny say. Bring a bit of everything. There's a good chance that it will be nice and warm during the day but it can cool down in the evenings and early mornings enough to require a light jacket.

We leave 2/10 and are going to take fleece jackets, mittens and hats. We will need them for the trip to the airport anyway. A couple pair of shorts, a couple pair of pants and various tops like under armor for layers. The boys have those zip off cargopants that they will wear a lot. I do not want to buy hats and mittens for souvies.

So Glad you posted this question. I had forgotten how windy it could be at Disney. We went in November two years ago and it was beautiful until the last day and it was very cold. Everyone was asking to borrow my gloves! I sure hope it gets warmer at Disney soon!

You are smart! I totally agree on the fleece, hat and gloves. When it is cold WDW stores break out those ugly black knit hats they sell. We have used fleece on 3 of our 4 winter WDW trips!

I know its a pain, but you really do need to pack a little bit of everything. Our weather is so unpredictable and up and down so much that one day you may need the shorts and the next your hat, gloves, etc. All I can say is layers, layers, layers. It will be cool in the morning, then you will have to strip off a layer or two (get a locker at the park) and then put the layers back on in the evening. Hope you have a good time. Only 2 more sleeps for me and I'm off to the world for 5 days.

Going in 8 d:love: ays, and usually pack heavier jacket, extra jeans, sweatshirts, the lockers sure come in handy.............

have fun on all your trips!!

8 more days...........almost 7...........to WARM SUNNY FL!

We leave on Monday and I'm planning on bringing two pairs of jeans, two pairs of shorts/capris, some short sleeve tees, one or two sweatshirts and a fleece jacket. Plus a hat and mittens/gloves. Since we'll have a stroller with a basket with us, we'll probably wear a sweatshirt in the am and just stuff it in the stroller if it gets warmer during the day, plus pack the hats and gloves for nighttime.

Then again, it is 8 degrees here so 30 is going to seem balmy.

We've been twice at the end of January, first part of February and going again this February. Layers is definately a must. When I'm able to get back to the resort before returning to the parks at night, I like to put on my Cuddle Duds (silky long underwear) under a long sleeved T or shirt; that way I don't really need a bulky coat. With the wind and being near the water it can feel cold even if it's in the lower 50's at night. We about froze to death on top of that big hill watching Fantasmic one night.

I usually don't bother with shorts on January/February trips. I take mostly short sleeve shirts, maybe a couple long sleeve shirts, two jackets (one just fleece, the other is a rain jacket with a zip out liner - great for cold and windy days), and jeans. It's a good idea to be prepared for any outdoor temperature from 30-80 degrees.
