I was thinking of hiring a chocolate fountain for an upcoming event our family is giving, but I have just found a cheese fountain is now available. Now I am torn, as I prefer savoury, especially anything with cheese! :) We don't want to hire both, so thats not an option.

For those of you looking for a savoury option, the cheese fountain is the ultimate solution.

This delicious fondue is made with fresh cream and a variety of delicious cheeses including Cheddar and Pecorino and seasoned with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Dippers include cherry tomatoes, juicy olives, a mini bread selection, crispy celery and pineapple to name but a few.

Used as a savoury canapé at a reception or as the ultimate after dinner cheese board, our cheese fondue fountains are guaranteed to create a fantastic talking point

Me... after visiting my FIRST chocolate fountain:

Chocolate!!!!!!!! A million times Chocolate.

I would want to see the cheese ft before renting it. If cheese isn't kept at a very specific temp it gets clumpy. Choc is more forgiving.

I'm sorry, but I really must have both. :lmao: If I had to choose, I'd take the chocolate fountain and have an old fashioned cheese fondue pot on the side. :thumbsup2

Oh man, what a choice! Though in the end, I'd choose the chocolate fountain.

Mmmmm.....chocolate covered strawberries.....

I agree. I can't envision a cheese fountain. That would have to be a very "thin" cheese. That doesn't sound appetizing at all. I would prefer just a regular cheese fondue.

A cheese fountain sounds good, and a little different. If it were to get clumpy it could be really nasty, though.

Tough call. I don't care much for chocolate and I'm lactose intolerant.

So...ummm.......neither? :confused3

If I had to pick though ;) , I would probably go with chocolate. More people seem to like it and it doesn't back you up like cheese does. :lmao:

Gee, the chocolate fountain is so passe already.
I'd go with cheese for the novelty factor, and the fact that I like cheese fondue far more than chocolate fondue.

The only reason I wouldn't go for chocolate (or cheese) fountain is because they are a REAL PITA to clean! Takes like an hour!!

You mean the caterer doesn't take care of the cleaning?

Well, don't let a little lactose stop ya! It's a sure way to guarantee room on the dance floor!

:rotfl:

3 lactose intolerant people in this house....and we all LOVE cheese. SIL too. You can guess what the topic of conversation revolves around at the mexican restaurant! :lmao: (Much to MIL's dismay! LOL!)
