tonight I opened a can a refrigerated biscuits ( my kids love those things ) and the biscuits were full of shards of plastic. REALLY sharp peices. I thought maybe it had gotten too cold and it was ice or something but there is no way this is a food product! I couldnt break it between my fingers at all.

I called the store and she asked me to bring it in. She offerred me a new can which is no big deal and Im not looking to sue or anything like that but would you do anything else?
I mean what if I hadnt noticed them?

you could probably get a free can out of that. I would write a letter to the company telling them about the prolbem.

I would call the number on the package and report it. They may want to do a recall. If yours was like that, then the whole batch may have been like that. I wouldn't want some unsuspecting (although they'd have to be pretty unobservant from the sound of it) person eating them!

thats exactly my point. Like I said, I dont want anything out of the company at all Im just concerned that there are more out there. If you felt these you would know right away that something was wrong! Unless someone thought they may have been ice like I did at first and not investigate further, I dont see how you could go ahead with them.

Call the manufacturer. They all ways need to know when things like this happen.

You probably would have gotten some freebies out of the deal.

Call the company so they can look into it further. You wouldn't want anyone to actually bite into a sharp piece of whatever it is.

They probably will send you coupons too. :)

I did call as soon as I found it and the manager said to bring it in right away and they would get me another can which is totally fine.

You called the manufacturer or the store where you purchsed it?

Make sure you spoke to the manufacturer.......

I called the store, it was their store brand. There was no number on the package at all.

Like JackB said - the easiest and most common way is to suck it out using a Topsider, Tempo, etc oil changer. I do have a friend that drains his right into the bilge and out the drain plug into a pan - then scrubs the bilge later - but this is not recommended!
