We went to WDW in April this year and booked quite a few meals with the favourites being Crystal Palace and Liberty Bell. The one that was better than anything else the holiday could throw at me was breakfast with the princesses at Epcot. That meal with Snow White & Co was worth every single penny I paid for the whole holiday.
My daughter of 2 was fully dressed in her Snow White outfit looked great and then when Snow White came to our table, I not being sentimental could have cried. Snow White spent at least 15 mins at our table chatting and haveing pictures taken. Then at the end she came back over and picked up my daughter and had more conversations with her. I think Snow White was upset when she left as she said to Me your daughter is very precious and that I should look after her. I am sure whe was nearly crying. If somebody can tell me how to attach photos to these forums I will share some with you.

Anyway that is not what this was about, I just got carried away with the Disney magic. I am going back to WDW in September and I wanted to know if you all had an open plan to book meals which meals would you:

A) Book every time because it was excellent
B) Never go again
C) Go again, but was just ok.

I just want to go make sure I don't miss anything, because I have read every WDW book under the sun but wanted to get your views.

Thanks and sorry for going on a bit. But if you do let me know about the photo's I will let you know.

Thanks

My shorthand answer is that every time we go to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, Boma at AKL, and ESPN Zone at Boardwalk. I won't ever go to Narcoosee's again.

Have fun!

:cheer2: We would go to the Hoop de Doo on our first night and Princess Storybook. We also liked Tusker in AK and Liberty Tree in MK. We will not go back to the American Adventure in Epcot.

We always do some of our favs-- Boma, WCC, O'Hana, Trails End and CP. Then, we try to add some that we have never tried before.

a) Kona for lunch - My all time favorite
b) ESPN Zone - both DH and I just couldn't get into their wings. It looked like they just pulled a chicken apart. :crazy2:
c) Hollywood and Vine - I've only had this once and wasn't impressed for the price they charged, but I would go again to give it the benefit of the doubt.

If I had to speak for DH, he'd most likely say:
a)Le Cellier - this is his favorite, and I certainly agree with him
b)ESPN Zone - like I said, we're in agreement on this one
c)Boma - just not his thing. We're going again next week because I wanted to go, he can take it or leave it.

There are several places our family likes a lot-

1) Spoodles- Great mediterranean and Tuscan food- we like to go for the appetizers. We order a whole bunch and the whole table shares. Their calamari is to die for!

2) Flame Tree BBQ- very good for counter svc. The BBQ is really good, and the veggie sides are yummy. Good size portions.

3) Teppenyaki- fun to watch the chefs put on a show, and the food is good.

4) Biergarten- Not as heavy as some think- nice buffet, and the oomp-pah band is really fun for the kids. The only thing some people don't like is that smaller parties share tables with other parties.

5) 'Ohana character breakfast- Pineapple bread is yummy, good breakfast food, and Mickey, Goofy and Chip & Dale!!

Meals we do not miss on our trips and were so good we still talk about them daily are: Ohana's, Biergarten and Boma. We love to eat and these places have a ton of food and it is great!!! If it helps, DH was in Iraq for a year and told his soldiers about Biergarten all the time!

The will never return again (or at least not in the near future) is 50's Prime Time Cafe. I was there in 2001 and loved it, had a wonderful "Uncle" and the food was pretty good. Returned in 2004 and it was aweful. Aweful waiter who just served our food and the food was actually blah. Won't return there for awhile at least, maybe if DS wants to go when he is older but for now I can live without.

I’ll bite:
The Good

1. Brown Derby every visit. Last time my meal was excellence as usual but…….my mother’s meal was average. Much of the extra’s touches were missing.
2. A non-park day breakfast Whispering Cannon. Fun time, great hotel visit.
3. And the weird one. Resterantsaures for a hot dog. Don’t know why this one hits us as so good……. except by the time we visit AK we’ve had no counter service meals. We always do sit-down meals.
4. Ok I’ll throw in the Spring Rolls as the Tambu Lounge in the Poly also.
5. Alfredo’s for the eye candy.

The “probably won’t bother again” section
1. Momma Melrose – we found it bland and uninspired.
2. The Sea, been three times and have yet to like a meal. For different reasons each time. But great for a late afternoon desert with one heck of a view.
3. The Land pavilion. Been four times and again have yet to find anything I enjoyed.

The “maybe just an off meal or we just ordered the wrong food”
1. The Rose and Crown. Have a funny feeling we ordered the wrong things.
