My DH and I will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary in WDW Nov. 4-13th. I am a HUGE Disney fan, and I want to show him the magic I love.

In your opinion:

Should we have dinner on our anniversary at V&A's (as I had originally planned)

or

Should we go to CG or Citrico's or somewhere else, and then use the $$ we save to do other fun things like Cirque, segway tour, Illuminations cruise, etc.

I have a good deal of $$ budgeted for this trip, but if I do a $300 dinner something else has to give.

We are doing the rehitching at GG on one day.

I'd save the $$ and do more fun stuff. I'm not a big fan of fancy cuisine anyway, but even if I were, I think V&A's is nice and all, but way overpriced.

Of course, my favorite things to eat are chicken parmigian and prime rib which are pretty boring by most peoples standards :)

I think the Segway tour sounds fun. And I think the Illuminations cruise would be nicer than a fancy meal :)

Plus, there are other nice restaraunts that are not as pricy.

I vote for the California Grille and tell them it is a special night, you would like a table by the window so you can watch the fireworks! Then you would have other money to do other fun things! I have to agree, we are not fancy people either and spending $300 on dinner just doesn't sound like a good idea. whatever you decide, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! May you enjoy MANY more!

My vote is for the CG. I went there for my 40th birthday, had a window seat, watched the fireworks, enjoyed the great food and had a wonderful time!

...If he is anything like mine is, he would much rather cruise around EPCOT on a segway than sport a siutcoat to go to a fancy dinner. Since he dresses up everyday for work I can't say I blame him.

I think I would choose spending less on the meal and getting something else with the extra money.

How about one of the dinner shows (Hoop-dee-doo or Luau)? I don't know how the prices compare, but at least you get to see a show with those. Have you ever done those before?

Go the more causal route and save the $$$ for other things. I'm a guy and personally don't what to spend big bucks to sit down for hours and eat strange food. Not to say V&A's isn't great though...

You can have a nice anniversary dinner at many WDW restaurants and not drop nearly the $$$ you would at V&A's. Unless you're really into fine dining (which btw is time consuming) and wine, try something else. Have a nice time:earsboy:

Get a Castle View Room @ the Poly...

Order Room Service - to be delivered 1 hour before Wishes -

Remember that old Cary Grant movie with the Fireworks -

See if you can Time Him with the Wishes Fireworks Climax...

"When You Wish Upon A Star..."

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!

ALTHOUGH MY DH AND I LOVE FINE FOOD AND WINE I THINK WE WILL FORGO V&A'S THIS TIME.

BY THE WAY OLT, I LOVED YOUR IDEA, I DO REMEMBER THAT MOVIE :earsgirl:
