I know part of this is a personal decision but what would you do.
Background: We have APs that were activated Dec 29th. Also, I am looking into a new job so we can move out of city. There are 5 us that includes my sister who comes along --- so 5 plane tickets. The youngest is not 3 until december.

We went to Disney over new years (cost $$, but used points for flights!). We went in March for a conference so we mainly paid for food and a couple extra nights of hotel - I used points for flights.

Going in August -- 9 nights. Have enough points only for maybe 2 of the 5 flights. Will be enjoying a lot of meals so food will be $$.

Thinking of going for 1 last AP trip over columbus day weekend so we can do food and wine. Its crowded then and it will only be a few nights. Will likely have to pay for all 5 flights since no more points.

Will only have a few days off before XMAS so wont go then -- plus younger DD will not be free then.

Will likely go to Orlando in March 2019 for another conference but not at disney - this depends on my job situation and if DD is still at her current school which has spring break thing. May throw in a couple days at Universal or a short disney cruise (if I can get together a lot of money!).

So would you do another trip in october given that it is 5 people? If we do not go in october we will likely not have a trip anywhere until March (if we can even go then).

This is exactly why Disney sells APs - to get people to rationalize another trip and spend MORE money on food, hotel etc. To me it sounds like you've more than got your monies worth on your AP. I would personally use the money I'd spend on flights on a different trip elsewhere but that's just me.
