So we had to reschedule our trip and rebook due to Irma. When I cancelled the trip scheduled in September, everything went ahead as if we were checking in, etc. in MDE app.

Then we rebooked a few days later a new trip, with new tickets, etc. A few days later, I received a full refund for the cancelled trip.

However, throughout our lead up to our rescheduled trip, I noticed we had 4 5-day tickets, rather than the 2 5-day tickets that we paid for. Well, we have completed our trip, and 2 of the 5-day tickets remain unused in the MDE app with an expiration until 2019.

I know what I will do in this situation, but has anyone else ever seen this happen? Who would you contact to report the free tickets? To quote that ABC tv show, What would you do in this situation?

Thanks!

You can call and speak to a CM or mention it the next time you are in WDW but, from experience, I will tell you that they won't remove the tickets. We had a random multi day ticket show up under our son's account a few year ago when we lived in Tampa and all had FL Resident APs. It is still on my MDE account. I have pointed it out multiple times to multiple CMs who all assure me it isn't a mistake. There was no reason for us to purchase regular tickets since we were all AP holders and we certainly wouldn't have purchased one for just our son at that age.

Well, if that is the case, I might need to schedule a second Disney vacation before 2019 :-). Thanks for the info on your experiences

I'm way too honest of a person to use those tickets without trying to have them removed..But if I called and they told me they were legitimate and wouldn't remove them then I would be okay with using.

I would call and let them know. If they let you have them then plan an awesome trip before 2019!

I would call WDW IT to see what's going on and go from there. Like PP"s, there is a random 1-day child's ticket linked to DS in my MDE. I have no clue how it got there. He has had an AP for years and I've never purchased a 1 day child's ticket. I just assume it's some kind of "phantom". Definitely call to get the scoop and go from there!

I would check on them in case they are phantoms. I think they will let you keep them if they are real

It said I had 2 days from a child ticket for my daughter from 2014 when I started booking my upcoming trip over a year ago. I knew we didn't we had 10 day tickets and we went to all of them. I just ignored it and figured it was a glitch. They disappeared about a month ago. I didn't call or do anything. So if you plan on using them make sure you have funds to cover the tickets if necessary you never know when they will go poof.

I would check my bank account to make sure I didn't pay for a 2nd set of tickets. If no charges appeared for the 2nd set then I would call and ask about the possible error.

Wanted to provide an update. Spoke with a very nice cast member. On her end, everything appeared like they were valid tickets, but to be sure, she escalated the matter to her supervisors. The supervisors determined that they were a glitch and would be removing the tickets over the next two weeks. The cast member seemed a bit surprised about the outcome, especially since we were so upfront and honest about it.

Sad not to have bonus tickets for a return trip wdw but can’t complain or be upset as I was just hoping for something for nothing and didn’t do anything to deserve those tickets. In fact, just happy that wdw let us cancel when we did for the hurricane.

Thanks!
