Hi everyone. My girl scout troop is going to WDW at the end of June. We have been checking airfare out of Albany, NY and Hartford, CT. Tickets from Albany on Southwest are much more expensive than the ones in Hartford. The drawback of going to Hartford is that it is 2.5 hours away versus the 40 minutes it takes to get to Albany. Over the pass few weeks, we have seen the prices of airfare fluctuate greatly. The cheaper fares on some flights have sold out or are unavailable. Some of the adults in our group want to cut our losses and book now, others want to wait. We cannot book our flight home until the Southwest releases more dates at the end of the month.

What do you think we should do? Book the cheaper way down out of Hartford before those fares disappear or wait till the new fares are released at the end of the month and make up our minds then? Also, do you think if we wait until it is closer to the trip that the cost will go down more? We are travelling from June 28 - July 3. Thanks for your input!

You should have booked Southwest as soon as the fares were released. I would not delay booking. The prices for late June are not going down, unless there is a sale, which would be unlikely for prime travel time. You might want to explore other airlines which could have cheaper fares.

Southwest has released fares through June 30.
