I Have booked for the caribbean beach resort and am really unsure with the reviews if I made the right choice so for £300 more I can stay at port Orleans riverside or £900 animal kingdom lodge what would you do?

Don't worry...
The Caribbean Beach is a lovely resort. We haven't stayed there but have visited it a few times now and its a beautiful relaxing resort with a few swimming pools and an ok food court. It normally comes up with iffy reviews because of its size. We loved all the little areas that you could lay on a hammock with sand under your feet, the palm trees and the lake. It has far more open space then AKL and is closer to all the parks other then AK. Yes it is a big resort but it's very manageable even if you are in a far corner and you could always request a room nearer the main building. Give it a go I am sure you won't regret it. :)

I'd think of saving the money for spends/fun additions to your holiday, as let's face it who spends much time in their room at Disney, not me! I do like POR but I wouldn't stay at AKL personally because of the location/darkness, the times I've been there to eat I just wasn't feeling it so much. The restaurants are lovely but I don't know if I'd want to spend a longer period of time there.

I would stay at CBR. We stayed in 2009 and had a great time! We stayed in the Jamaica part and found it wasn't too far to the food court, but we're quite fond of walking so I probably don't have a great perspective on distance.

The food court had plenty of options, the pools were great and they had a nice little outdoor seating with a bar for the evenings. I tend to take reviews with a huge pinch of salt!

I love AKL but £900 is a lot more to pay if you don't benefit from free dining.

I've stayed at all three and would stay at any of them again, POR is beautiful and AKL feels very luxurious. The only downside is the buses at CBR but that wouldn't be enough to put me off!

We stayed at CBR on our first trip, would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful resort, really lush, super food court with loads of choices, super pools. Rooms are standard Disney, perfectly suitable for the length of time you will be in it. Buses go direct to each park, don't pick up from other resorts, although they do loop around the resort. We'll located for all the parks, plenty of buses. Enjoy!
