What would you do?

We are going the week before Thanksgiving (hoping for low crowds and nice weather). We have 4 full, non-travel, days and three days left on our no expiration passes from a previous trip. Do we purchase one day tickets or do only 3 park days? Other option would be the MVMCP on our first or last day but my kids are 4 and 7 and I don't know how late they can last (especially at the end of the trip). Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, Karyn

I would do MVMCP. You can get in at 4 pm on the day of the party. I took my 4 and 5 year old boys to MNSSHP last September. I made sure they had a long rest before we left (took it easy at our off-site condo swimming and nap). Amazingly enough, they lasted until the end (albeit in a stroller though). Even if you were in the park only 5 hours, I think it would work (I would bring a stroller though).

We are going the same week! We went two years ago at the same time, and the crowds were indeed low and the weather beautiful. It was warm enough to swim, but not too warm to tour all day. And it only rained one day, and that was overnight. Praying that we have good weather again this year.

Can the 3 day pass be upgraded to a 4-day pass for just the cost difference between them? If so, that's what I would do. That would be a much cheaper option (probably only about $15/ticket) than springing for the cost of MVMCP.

Otherwise, I would use 3 days from your older park pass and go to to MVMCP for your 4th day. As others have said, you can get into the MK a bit before the party to give you extra time. And since this will be a late night, I would go to the party on your last day.

I can not upgrade because I am past the 14 day window. I've heard that you can share passes that were bought together and used together (the scan is stored as a group?) so we might buy two new passes and combine the others. Anyone ever done this?

I do not know where you are staying but instead of buying another ticket you could have a non-park day. You could explore Downtown Disney, spend the afternoon at the pool, or look at all the resort holdiay decorations which should start going up around that time. Just an idea that might save you some money. We always like to take a day and relax during the vacation and enjoy what our resort has to offer.
