If your son and the niece-of-discussion are as close as you say they are, I think she will understand. They are 18 years old, not young kids. I think there just needs to be an open, honest conversation saying exactly what you have said here. GF has never been to DLR, DS and GF will be apart for a while, etc....) and help niece understand why GF is being invited AND talk to DS and GF about not excluding anyone. GF is being included in your family's vacation, not the family being included on their vacation. Put everything on the table and I think everyone will be fine.

I took DD23's then boyfriend and now fiancee on one of our trips, it wasn't a big deal, we did things together and he was fine....I really don't see the big deal......

Talked it over again with SIL about the possibility of her daughter's BF going. She did not think his mom would go for it, but looks it may actually happen! I gave them all expected expenses and information to give to his parents so we should know something tomorrow. I have never met him, so I don't know for sure but think this may his first Disney park to visit. Living in the south, we are much closer to WDW than DLR, so even if he has been to WDW, I seriously doubt he has ever been to So Cal or DLR. I SO hope this works out so I can get back to fun stuff like planning important things!

I guess that title does fit me. It does not always work out that way, but I always try to give it my best shot. Life is too short and trips to Disney too few!

There are a total of 10 of us going and we are staying in 3 rooms at HoJo's 2 in one room, and 4 each in the other 2 rooms.
