Now... we are going in January, but....

My father, brother and nephews are going to WDW for a few days in December. I just found out that the same time my DH will be down there for a work trip. So.... I could fly out Thursday afternoon/evening. Stay with my husband free at the Hilton, then be in WDW all day Friday with my family (DH work will be done by then). Pay for a place for Friday. And then fly back Saturday.

Our cost --

1 night's stay (points or cash.. depends)
car-- maybe -- or may just use shuttle
airfare just for me from MD to orlando and back
I would have to take off work on Friday

We have annual passes! My nephews are 8 and 10-- great age for WDW and would love to be there with them.

Would you do it??

hmmm...not sure.
Do you get to see your nephews, brother and father without flying? Do you see them often?
If you see your father and brother on a regular basis, I think I would enjoy the time home alone, but that's just me.
Enjoy whatever you decide :thumbsup2

I would not even think twice about it. GO!!!!! You never know what tomorrow will bring, so enjoy what you can. Have a great time with your family in Disney!!!

Let me think for a second......GO!!!!!!! I would love to be able to just do that so have a great time!

Any time in Disney is worth it and with young ones, it is so much fun...especially at Xmas time with all the decorations!!!!

If I had the funds I would be doing the Happy Dance
I would go for it :thumbsup2

I think I am going for it!! My dad lives in SC and I do not see him much.

I also think seeing my nephews in WDW will be lots of fun!! Now to figure out the logistics! My family is staying at BCV. There are no studios at BCV or BWV at this point-- we may just stay at the Hilton!

try to see if there is a deal at the Swan or Dolphin also. You can sometimes get around $160 a night there.

My mom passed away 3 years ago and we did sooooooo much together. I will always have a house to clean, have so much work to do at work and so much more that needs to be done, but you never know how much time you have with a loved one. I have so many good memories and I thank God I put little things on hold to spend that extra time with her and in Disney.

Why not! Sounds like it would be a great deal and a great getaway. Just DO it!:thumbsup2

It depends on how the air works both in cost and convenience but usually that's workable. Could your DH not stay the extra night at the Hilton with and you come back together and have that night included, just pay the ticket change?
