currently i've got 12 nights booked with free dining in september, before we go on a 3 night cruise.
we want to go to the boardwalk one night, and we're planning to meet up with some of the people from our cruise meet thread for a night at jellyrolls.
do i:
stick with the 12 nights free dining and just get a cab from ASM to the boardwalk and back?
or:
do i change to 11 nights free dining (as i can use the dining credits til midnight on wednesday, and we're going to set off for the port first thing thursday morning), and hire some DVC points and stay at BWV for the night before the cruise?

to change from 12 nights FD to 11 nights FD is $92 difference, it'd be about $90 to rent the DVC points so the price difference is negligible, we lose one night's dining, but we get a nicer hotel.

what would you do?

also would there be any amendment fees with disneyworld.com?

ps: packing and moving cases isnt an issue, as i plan to be packed up for the cruise by then anyway...

from what you have put-i would say it would be easier just to get a cab there and back!

I would do the Boardwalk - but then I love trying out new hotels and Boardwalk is one on my list of 'must try's!!!:goodvibes

My vote goes for taking a cab , althought you will have packed, you won't see much of the place other than check-in desk !

If you changed to the BWV, i'm guessing that after a night in jellyrolls you'd be inclined to come out and jump in a cab, not realising your mistake til you get to ASM

Or at least, that's what would happen to me :rolleyes1

I think i'd stay at the All Stars since i'd be thinking I wouldn't get the most out of my 1 deluxe resort night if it was going to be a late one! I'd rather do it on a night where I could really make the most of the resort. With this said, though, I get the impression from your post that you really want to stay there so definitely go with what would make you happiest :goodvibes

I would get a cab too
and leave the stay at the boardwalk for another time

mmm, now i wonder if i could get anyone to check out availability for AKV club level for any night of my stay.........

I'd stay at the Boardwalk, you can still use free dining up till midnight (get brekkie cs or snacks & put in fridge for morning. Use Boardwalk facilities all day Wed & it would be nice just to walk back there after the evening in Jellyrolls.
