Ok I need help.

We always go for my birthday, the week of Oct 19th. Luckily the last 2 years we had nice big discounts for deluxe resorts and saved alot! This year it looks like the current bounceback offer is for Aug 23-Oct 3 so we are not covered for a nice discount for 09 (we are going in Jan and I need to make up my mind what to do).

So do we change our dates and take advantage of the discount and stay deluxe again BUT this will put us into free dining which I hear it can be super duper busy AND will F&W be available the last week in Sept/first part of Oct? We really do not want to miss F&W, that is our fav

OR

Do we say the heck with it, hope for better deals (since the economy is tanking) and just stick with our original dates for latter October.

Is it worth going in Sept? Or better for Oct?

I would say wait and see because with the economy they are probably going to make an offer for the second half of the year so I would hold tight and see what happens! :)

You did not say whether you would be flying or driving. If I were driving I would book the current discount and take advantage of it. I no new discount comes out you are still getting a good deal. Also I went this past Sept during Free Dining and Labor day week and it was great, light crowds in the parks and we had to even rebook our trip for a week earlier due to a scheduling conflict. I also got all of my dining preferences I wanted. So I say book now and hope for a better discount but if one does not come along at least you will have this one.

THat bounceback youre talking about was for people that went during free dining 08. The dates for the bounceback youll get in jan are going to be for completely differant dates

I'm thinking there will be more deals coming out , even when the economy starts to pick up.:thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I agree with mbanks. I think you are assuming whatever bb offers were recent will be the same in January. I would not count on that.
At this point just wait and see what (IF :confused3 ) bounceback is offered during your January stay.
You can always book it. Then if something you think is better for you comes along, cancel what you have. But first make sure you can book under whatever new code you would be considering.

We are driving. I think you are right, I think I will just book it for end of Sept

I have read threads that there is a current bounceback (not FD) for the dates I mentioned

I hope there are a lot more deals coming too!

Thanks for the info

Why not make the reservation and take advantage of the 40% off. Then hold off on buying air tickets or anything where you would lose money if you canceled. See if you can end up getting a discount for the later dates.

We will be there the end of September. We usually go September 1 - 9, but DH's tradeshow schedule prohibited those dates this year. Therefore, we are booked September 20 - 29 with the free dining (and believe me--it was NOT crowded--we waited a max of ten minutes for most rides with the exception of the mountains (20 minutes), Soarin' (20 minutes) and we never got on Toy Story Mania--but we weren't too upset about it). Maybe we'll be there at the same time! Fulton's here we come!!!
