Ok - I'm looking for opinions! My hubby is returning from 6 months in the middle east so we're celebrating with 5 days at WL, and then a 4 day cruise on the Wonder. In the past we've always used a towncar company to get from the airport to WDW and/or the port. I'd like to try using Magical Express this time to save some cash. But we'll be purchasing annual passes through Shades of Green when we go down So...

1. Will I be very disappointed in how long ME takes compared to a towncar?

2. I think I need to have my annual pass in hand to check into the lodge should we be able to get an AP rate. ME doesn't go to Shades of Green, so how would you get there? Take ME to WL, then a cab to SoG and back?

3. Anyone have experience with DCL transfers? Do they get you to the port pretty late?

4. Any towncar company recommendations?

Thanks all! :)

DME or car service will get you to your resort around the same time.

It seems like it'll be a big hassle to get from WL to SoG and back for tickets. A short taxi ride, but still a hassle.

I'm a big DME fan, so please don't misinterpret this ....
If your husband is returning from a deployment, he's probably sick and tired of being transported with everyone else as a group effort. A private ride with a car service will probably be a welcome change ... to have a private and quiet ride for once. You could pre-arrange for the car service to stop at SoG and wait for you to get your tickets; then you'd get back in the vehicle and you and your bags will be taken to WL.

ENJOY!
