What would you do?

Our SW flight arrives at MCO at 6:50 PM. DS's girlfriend is flying in from another city (also on SW) and arrives at 8:15 PM. If you were in this situation would you wait for her to arrive before going to WDW?

I'm sort of leaning towards leaving DS to wait for her arrival and having them both come on Magical Express. We can rent our car and get all checked into our room and hers (which I plan on booking in my name so I can check in for her) so when they arrive she won't have to check in and can go straight to her room (and him to ours!) How does that sound? Or would that be rude to go off without her?

I've never used ME before but I think it would be fine in this situation.

I would leave him to wait for her. Since it will be nearly 8PM by the time you get to the hotel, it makes sense that you would go there and check in while your son stayed behind to accomany his girlfriend.

I agree that there shouldn't be a problem with ME.

Agree -- let DS wait for his girlfriend. Since she's flying separately, I assume that they are old enough for him to wait alone and for them to ride ME without you.

Your two flights really aren't scheduled that far apart, so there shouldn't be too much downtime unless her flight is late.

Thanks for the opinions! That's what we'll do. Since I haven't ever used ME myself I didn't know if there was some problem with that plan that I might not have been aware of.

DS will be 20 at the time of the trip and DGF will be 21.

The down time between flights will also give your son time to scope out the "lay of the land" so that he can know exactly where the two of them need to go once she's off the plane. Then they'll be able to be on their way very quickly.
