We will be staying at HRH Dec. 17-19. What days would you do each park? We are checking out of Disney and checking into HRH on Sunday 17th. We will probably get to the park around 11. We have all day 18th and will need to leave the park around 3 on Tues. 19th.

So when should we do Universal Studios and when should we do Islands of Adventure? Our boys are 11,9,6...all tall and all brave.
Thanks!

The great thing about being on site and having the unlimited express access is that you don't need to stress over when to tour, etc. You will also be an easy walk to each park, so breaks are very feasible.

When we go, we usually select the park by which ride we want to do first. Sometimes it is Hulk, sometimes it is Mummy. Then we go from there.

Relax and enjoy.

The parks close at 7pm each day you are going. Most people have this idea they need to do one park a day. This isn't true. You can visit both if you want.
IOA is good to do first thing in the morning, because if you show up early, you can get front seat rides on the coasters before the crowd shows up.
The great thing about the HRH is it's only a 5 minute walk to USF.

On your first day when you show up at 11am, you could visit USF, do The Mummy, MIB, and a few movie attractions. You could walk over to IOA and go on the coasters to end the day.

On the moring of the 18th, wake up early, and get to the gate of IOA at 08:15am. When the gates open, jog to Hulk and get front seat rides. Then you can high tail it back to Deuling Dragons and get front seat rides on each coaster. Your FOTL magic keys will let you bypass the lines, but not for the front of the coasters. So it's still good to show up early.

I agree...hit the big things you want to do first. Then the other days go back and explore everything else in the parks. IOA, then UO.

I usually end up going to USF first just because it's closer :P And I'll probably head there first next week!
