What would you do???

No, I wouldn't do it. I grew up in NJ and lived in PA for 18 months and if given the choice to do over we would've stayed in NJ instead. PA just felt so far from everything we loved about NJ, the shore, the city, endless amount good malls.... :rotfl: It's a lovely place to visit but I just didn't enjoy living there.

We eventually ended up down here, which we love, but I wouldn't move to PA again for anything, it just wasn't for us.

Run like the wind FatMan!!!! :goodvibes

What is the possum situation in Pennsylvania?

It's a tough decision. Family is in NYC and we have alot of friends in NJ. We live in a great town and we don't know anything about PA except the Phillies, Cheesesteaks, and Quakers. I like close knit towns, and I don't get that feeling from PA.

I would most likely rent my current home and buy a new one in PA.

The new position will be very very challenging and will consume more of my time.

My wife says if it's just about money, we can get more since they print more everyday (Wonka reference).

My problems could be worse, never the less.......it's still a problem.

I probably would not do it because of the family & friends issue. I could never leave my parents (yes, I know, I'm 32 years old). I just wouldn't want my kids to be far away from their extended family. What's wrong with your current job? Really, I would not move for $$. If there were other reasons, then maybe, but not for $$.

I live in Ardmore, PA. I went to college at West Chester University. It is a great area, you are still very close to many activities and not that far from NJ or NY. You are close to Hersheypark too. Lancaster is a wonderful area to visit. We enjoy this area and my dd's (18 & 23) say they are never leaving the area. Good luck with your decision.

I agree. :thumbsup2 I would never move anywhere just because of money.

Well I just got a call from the company and they offered me the job. The pay is almost a 70% increase in total compensation and is a tremendous opportunity.

I have to really think about this..................
