I have soloed a lot since my DH likes to golf and I don't always ride along with him. All the parks have good things for solos. The one thing I do like about being by myself is I can take as many pictures of whatever I want without my DH going off and leaving me ! :cheer2: :cheer2:

He doesn't really do that a lot, but it does give me an opportunity to ride/see whatever I want (Little Mermaid) and just take it easy. I've never felt uncomfortable or out of place. Then if I see something really cool or special, I can take him back later.

If you feel okay about it, go for it! You might really like it.

I would consider going off on adventure. I like to shop and pin trade, so I would head out to DTD with a loaded lanyard and play. I would grab a Scudetto at EoS with a glass bottle Coca-Cola and park my buns on a bench across from WoD and watch Stitch spit on the folks as they pass by. I would shop to my heart's content. I would trade a few pins as I found CM's to trade with. I would even consider taking in a movie at the AMC theater.

If it had been a long few days prior to this day, I would most likely hang out at the resort by the pool with my MP3 player and just watch the kids playing in the water. I love watching kids.

If I was in the mood for a park, I would have to choose Epcot. I would hang out in the WS and enjoy the countries at my own pace.....shopping my way through, of course.

Happy Planning. Maggie

Personally, I would choose Animal Kingdom. I have done this before and it was great. I was able to take time to see shows that DW and I might not do and spend as much time in the nature trails as I wanted. Plus EE has a single rider line which will NOT take 2 hours to get thru.

If you don't any sort of an AP then I might seriously consider DTD or chilling at the lodge. Maybe a day of shopping at DTD and a boatride to Boardwalk to walk and shop there.

I voted for MK but either that or Epcot would be a good choice. We usually have an "alone day" on vacation, and I really enjoy it. It's my chance to go do "girl things" without my husband and sons. Last trip, they wanted to see an action movie at DTD and I went shopping. Works pretty well for us.

I voted for Epcot. that's mostly because I have always wanted to go to Epcot by myself and explore every cranny.

I have a day alone on my last day and I'm going to spend it at Epcot. My mom is flying home in the morning and I'm flying home at night. I've spent some time at Epcot by myself before and it's a lot of fun. There's so much entertainment, lots of shops, you can talk with the CMs about their countries, and you can just explore the different countries and see things you've never noticed before. :)

You don't say when your vacation is but if there is anything special going on (ie: Flower and Garden or holiday decorations) it might be a ncie chance to take in some of that. I like the idea of a tour of the monorail resorts also. That would eat up some time and you could check out the shops and perhaps grab some lunch.

We will be there for a week at the beginning of May. I forgot all about the Flower and Garden @Epcot. I had also been thinking about a character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare but I don't know if I would feel funny doing that alone.

Also, I hadn't even thought about shopping at DTD.

Thanks! I so hope he gets the job and we can move to Florida.

I think I'd be too antsy to be at Disney and spend the whole day outside of the parks, but then again, we're commando types, so we don't usually take a day off at all.

I think Animal Kingdon would be a great place to spend the day alone. You could spend a lot of time walking through the trails - Pangani and Maharajah - looking at the animals. The Tree of Life is also an awesome place to just walk arounf and take in the scenery. You could see the shows - Lion King, Flight of Wonder, etc. That's what I would do if I were you!

I would sleep in and then go to Epcot when World Showcase opens. I'd stroll all the countries, shop at my leisure, snack, watch all the entertainment in each country, etc.

I voted to chill at the resort, only because there wasn't an "Other" option. You could go to Saratoga Springs Spa (which DW says is better than GF spa) in the AM, and then hop the boat to DTD and eat lunch and shop the PM. Another option for a single is to book a tour. These tours usually have about 20 people or so, and you don't mind being a single with others who are looking for the same experience as you. I any event, whatever you decide to do, have a magical time (your DH will be jealous)!

Oh well, then I vote for that! Take your camera and have a lovely stroll around Epcot checking out all the displays and have a nice lunch somewhere.
