We leave in a month and just got our luggage tags. We have an Ov. In the front. Now I just noticed there’s an veranda near the back. We do like the back since it’s closest to the pools and cabanas. It would also cost around 150$ more. The money isn’t the issue. What I’m worried about is the luggage getting to our new room. Our TA said we would get new tags at the port but not sure how this works or where to go.

Any advice on this

I tried to do a small upgrade on our plane tickets and it was a disaster. Took me a month to get that cleaned up. I sure don’t want my luggage to get lost.

If you do decide to change staterooms, nothing to worry about. When you give your luggage to the porters, they will write out new tags for you. Very easy.

I don't understand - yesterday you said you had already upgraded. And were given answers on what to do about the luggage tags.

Now (10 hours later), you're thinking about upgrading?

Sorry for the confusion I didn’t send in the extra payment yesterday since they were closed. Just had everything ready.

I just don’t want another issue like with the plane. I called to upgrade from main cabin plus to economy premium the agent changed our flight time without asking or telling me. It was a mess. I did get it all back though.

So at the port we just tell them the new room number and the porters take it from there.

I changed my stateroom after our luggage tags were mailed for our last cruise. I just crossed out the old number and wrote with Sharpie our new room number on the tags. The barcode will be updated in their system to reflect the new number, the room number is just a visual reference for the room stewards. No need to get new tags.

Once on board, I told our room steward about the change, in case they were delivered to the old room, but we got our luggage delivered with no problems.

You can get blank luggage tags at port. That's not that uncommon, the printed luggage tags don't always make it to people on time so they just fill out blank ones. You can do the same to put your new (upgraded) stateroom number on there).

I've upgraded once at the supervisor desk in the terminal after my bags were given to the porters. All of our bags made it to the new room and they were there before 3pm.

IMO $150 well worth it also and luggage will be fine as you can tell them when you check in with porters and they will give you new tags.

We've cruised Disney 3 times and never once have we received luggage tags - the porter just wrote it on a tag at the curb. Just don't use the tags Disney gave you and have them attach new ones at the curb. Very common - they have them in their pocket because so many folks need one.
