What would you do to get to disney????

I having been saving all my changes from pay checks, and found money in dryer that's going WDW this year. I am working two jobs at the moment that is pay bills and save for a destory. In the summer I worked as a concession stand manager at the Baseball Staduim and save all my tip money from pouring beer. Plus I do computer work on the side to make extra money to. That goes in the WDW fund to.

I don't eat out much and I save that money. Some people have call me cheap because I don't spend money reckless like they do.

Next trip is June 2005 with the Boys Scounts of America. I hoping to have the deposit in Jan into Feb. for the trip.

If I can't afford that trip then we will just go some else for vacation close to home.

We bought into DVC this year so I knew I needed to supplement our income to pay for our Disney "mortgage" My home based business that my girlfriend hooked me up with helps us with about $500-$800 a month additional income. It pays for those extras. I can send you details if you like.

I am a stay at home mom to my 2 little ones ages 4(almost 5) and 14 months old. I also have a 2nd grader. I used to work at a day care to help pay the bills and what not until i had the baby. Then being at home I needed to come up with a way to make some $ again. So I started to babysit. I am home anyway and I make more $ now then I have ever before. I watch 2 boys from 9am-3pm and charge $200 for the week. It's easy $ and my kids always have someone to play with. I also have 3 other kids that I watch part time. If I didn't watch kids we most likely wouldn't be going to disney next month.

I don't have to take a PT job, but what I have to do to get to Disney next year is a lot of work! I'm being extra, super nice to DH. Doing things I've never done or refused to do in the past. (LOL!) We can afford it, but because he makes most of the money I have to convince him of it. Manipulation you might say ... Maybe ... but at least we both get what we want.

There's no way I would get another job or go from part-time to full-time just to go to Disney! I would rather be home with my family more here than leave them to go to work to take them to Disney. Maybe to help pay for their college education, but not something as trivial as a Disney trip. This summer we will be camping as our vacation, and we'll have a wonderful time.

Some people don't find a Disney trip "trivial". Being a single mom, sometimes that was all we could look forward to while my daughters were growing up. You should choose your words a little more carefully.

i would almost pick up cans on the side of the streets to get to Disney.Last month was our first vacation and i am hooked. It was soooo gorgeous and magical! We save change,
i do ebay and yard sales and started working part time being a substitute teacher.

I pick up every penny I find! I say, we're one penny closer to Disney! I also sell everything that we don't need/use on Ebay- half.com. I've earned quite a bit that way. Don't buy things I don't really need. Do rebates and coupons. Take lunches to work instead of eating out.

I'd like to know more about this.

I'm a SAHM, but when my youngest started school I started substituting at school. It's the perfect job for me, because my kids are so busy with extra activities that I need to be on the same time schdule with them. Plus if the school calls and I'm busy I can say no (I have a hard time saying No). I only get paid once a month, but this pay period I made enough to pay for our 6 night stay at POR!!! I really enjoy subing, but when I have a bad day or just really don't want to work that day I tell myself it's more money for Disney. We also save our change.
