What would you do regarding food?

Our DS is eating mostly "people" food - occassionally I will give him a Gerber Entree, but he has been off baby food mush for a good two months now. I was planning on not bringing any food with me when we go to WDW, but now I am wondering if maybe I should pack a few Gerber Entrees just in case? What do you think?

My youngest is 14 months (15 months when we go). She eats people food too. The only thing I am going to bring with me is some Gerber snacks (and probably some cereal). She will do fine eating off my plate (or dad's or her siblings') but some of the snacks the rest of us may have might not be all that great for her (she only has 2 teeth). We don't give her chips or pretzels (so she can't share my nachos :) LOL). Plus, I find that Gerber snacks make a good distraction if she starts to get fussy (in line or something like that!)

If he is eating "regular" table food, then I wouldn't bring anything at all.
Our son is almost 11 months old and is still 90% breastfed...very few solids. We only give him organic foods so when we travel in November we'll be bringing along some of what we need and purchasing the rest there. Easy enough for us since my entire family is local.
If we didn't mind him eating from the same menu as us, we would just do that and leave any "special" foods behind. He doesn't eat baby food, anyway.

My DD will turn 1 at the end of this month on our trip. She eats only "real food" now. She won't eat baby food at all anymore. I can't blame her. :teeth: I won't be bringing any babyfood just some snacks like Cherrios. She only has 2 teeth on the bottom and has been working on 2 on the top for a few months. We don't ever have any problems finding things on menus she can eat.

I agree with the last post. If your baby is eating mostly people food, don't bother bringing Gerber foods. When we went with our DD last year for her first trip, we sent a box ahead and included some of those Gerber Graduates. By the end of our trip we never even touched one. We ended up having to pack them up and bring them home with us. I would bring a variety of snacks for the plane (if you are flying) because it helps to distract them for a while. I noticed in your siggy that you are staying at OKW (we are too, at the end of the month!) and they have a little section of groceries at the back of the gift shop. We always found things there that she would eat when we were at the resort and she would eat our food while at the parks. It is really your call, but we found that we didn't need them.

My granddaughter is 16 months old, has lots of teeth and still like s her baby food now and then. We are bring along a few jars (4 or 5) just in case she gets really fussy one night at dinner. She also still loves her baby ceral mixed with applesauce in the morning.

Just for the heck of it, anyone know how much Disney gets for a jar of baby food?

Since the trip will be such a change from his usual routine, I'd say pack one jar, in case he needs it for comfort. If you find he needs more you can get it, but chances are he won't need any- you'll just have the reassurance that you have some if needed.

I would pack something. Our two year old is eating real people food but there are days he is ready to eat before we are. We have the Gerber Toddler meals in his diaper bag all ready to go. It has saved us more than once!

Maybe just bring some easy snacks instead of the Gerber meals. That is what we would do when ours started eating more regular food.

Our son is 11 months and was pretty much off baby food. But we always seem to end up eating at counter service which doesn't give you a lot of variety. We would give him some of his siblings applesauce but other than that, we eat mostly junk down there. So I did bring some baby food just so his poor little system wouldn't be disturbed too much. We also brought crackers, cheerios, goldfish, etc.
