what would you do on your final morning?

We are going for a long weekend in December to attend MVMCP. We will be using the ME so we'll not have a vehicle for the first time ever. We'll leave for the airport around noon on Sunday so I'm trying to figure out what we can do Sunday morning without burning a park pass. We'll have already seen the Monorail resorts. Does anyone have other ideas and does anyone know when DTD opens? Thanks for the help!

You could do a character breakfast at either Chef Mickeys or Cape May (Goofys Beach Blast Breakfast). The Cape May one is our favorite. If you did that early enough, you might have time to go to DTD. I think the shops open around 10 there...maybe 9:30.

Generally, I get out of of Dodge before the sun comes up so I don't feel so bad. However, going for just the weekend, I would do a breakfast at either Chef Mickey's or Ohana's.

We've been to the character breakfasts at the Monorail resorts and could do again, but never been to Cape May. How could I get to the Beach Club without a car?

You have two options to get to the Beach Club. From Epcot you exit at the International Gateway (near United Kingdom) and in about 5 minutes you can walk to the BC (which comes up on your right). However, this requires a park admission to Epcot.
From the Disney Studios (you don't have to enter the park) you can take the 20-25 minute walk to the BC or take the Friendship Boat. The boats run all day between the Studios and the Epcot International Gateway. Along the route they stop at the Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk, and Beach/Yacht clubs. If you take the boat get off at the Beach/Yacht clubs and turn right as you face the Yacht Club. The Beach Club is next door, closer to Epcot. The walk and the boat ride take the same amount of time. If you just missed a boat the walk is faster. Walk away from the Studios entrance with the water to your left and the parking lot to your right. Continue on this walk all the way to the boardwalk area. Turn left at the bridge to the Swan/Dolphin and then right to get to the Yacht Club and Beach Club.

We plan to a few hours at the parks on a day like this--making sure everyone gets to ride the one ride they want, and a few extra if possible. Then we pick up any last minute park gifts if we missed any earlier. Finally back to the resort for a last Disney meal before leaving.

This assusme you would enter the parks that last day.

On our last trip we had a car, so we went to Ohana for breakfast, one last monorail ride, then we went to take a peek at a couple other resorts (AK and WL)
On our upcoming trip, we will probably wrap it up at Boardwalk, DD or Epcot....that decision will be made once I book our flights. If we have lots of time to kill (and tix days left), it will be Epcot, otherwise it will be Boardwalk or DD.

We had the same challange for our trip this weekend. We have reservations at Boma for breakfast and will watch the animals at AKL for a while before getting our ME to the airport.

If my memory serves me correctly, we ended up at the Boardwalk on our last day a coupla trips ago, in search of something our daughter had seen there. Nothing was going on, nothing was really open, just sorta dead. Unless something's changed, I wouldn't pin any hopes on the Boardwalk.

The idea for Boma and AKL sounds just right to me!

We're staying at AKL and also going without a car this year and will probably be picked up by 11:00 am by the MYW bus ... so not much time to do anything. We're planning on having breakfast at Boma, packing, hitting the gift shop one more time and just hanging out by the pool.

The first time I was at WDW, my sister had booked the character breakfast at Grand Floridian for my last morning there. (Of our group of 9, three of us were leaving that day. The rest stayed one or two more days.) It was great. The other thing that I usually do...is DTD, of course. Get the final shopping done to take with me on the flight home.



I just realized that the last time I was in Orlando, it was just about a month after I'd met my husband and I remember sitting at the airport in Orlando waiting for my flight home and talking to him on the phone until the flight was ready to board. (I know, that has nothing to do with anything...except that it's a nice memory especially since my next trip will be my first with him.

Depending on the time you needed to get to BC, you could take your resort bus to MGM and then walk to BC. It's about 20 minutes. But, I'm not sure what time the buses start running. Or you could just grab a cab. If you stop off at the Bell Services area of your resort, they can call you a cab. Those are usually pretty cheap.

There are also a few shops in the Contemporary - you could kill a little bit of time there as well. Noon doesn't sound all that early to me, though. I would take my time checking out and finishing up some last minute souvenir shopping.

Our flight leaves at 2:30 and we're at the ASMu (this weekend, never stayed there before, and don't think there's anything intersting to eat or shop at this resort) I liked the length of stay passes better! What should we do? Any suggestions? We'll get up early, but will the busses? Could we get to Downtown Disney and back to ASMu? Does anyone know what time ME will require us to be back at ASMU?

I don't think you'll have too much time. You'll probably have to leave the hotel between 11:30 and 12:00.
