what would you do on weekends in your school days?

Watch ”Soul Train” for the latest dance moves and music in the morning.
Dance and acting lessons for me, flute and theory lessons for elder sister, on Saturday afternoon.

If we had to do our chores on Sunday so be it but better get it done before going to Nana and Papa’s house.

Theater shows. Most of the time I was performing in one show, and at the same time rehearsing one or two more. Usually something fun after, like blacklight bowling or seeing a movie.

When I was real young I watched cartoons Saturday mornings, and then played with neighborhood friends the rest of the time. Then eventually some activities were added to the mix, including even some homework on occasion!

You did homework on the weekends? Nerd! Just kidding, I did too. Often in the wings at the theater waiting for my cue lol

So if you are talking about high school days....

Fridays - high school football, basketball and baseball games on Fridays, Dances in the gym afterwards
Saturdays - in the fall, early morning duck and goose hunts, watch UW football
mix in hanging with the buddies, cruising in Bellingham, WA, going out with the girlfriend.
Sunday - church in the morning, watching NFL games

Ha ha! It was basically when there was a project or paper to do. Otherwise I don’t think we really had homework to do over the weekend.

Way back in the day, roller skating every Friday night, hanging out at the mall with friends, listening to music, spending time on our boat in the good weather, movies, etc.. They were certainly good times!

I worked - from age 9 or 10 and on.

Assembled small packages of things and later ran a shrink wrap machine for a business that needed to catch up at the end of the week. Continued to work from them on and off till my second year of college.

Yeah probably highly illegal these days - but it was many years ago

Did my share of the inside chores - cleaning bathroom(s) doing laundry, ironing, dusting, etc. That was on Saturday. Usually took most of the morning. Then just either outside playing with my friends or outside reading if it was nice weather, inside if not. All five of my brother's were in one sport or another but most of their games were on Friday nights. At around 12 or 13 I started babysitting so I would usually be doing that Friday or Saturday night. When I was a junior in high school I became what would now be considered a Nanny, back then I was just called a live in babysitter so I was taking care of the kids all weekend since their mom was a manager of a restaurant.

As a kid, it was pretty much:

Saturday:
6 AM to 11 AM: Cartoons on the big three networks and a big bowl of cereal.
11 AM to whenever the streetlights came on: Run around like a maniac or ride my bike all through the neighborhood.
Sometime after dinner: Bath

Sunday:
Morning: Whatever leftover cartoons they aired on Sundays
Afternooon: Meet up with my firend who always came ot his grandmother's house across the street for a family lunch, then run around with him like maniacs or ride our bikes, etc. until he had to leave.
6 PM: The Muppet Show!

We often went to the beach. Sometimes Mom would take her cast iron skillet and make us bacon and eggs over the grills that were provided. Those were wonderful days and somehow breakfast on the beach tastes so much better.

spring and summer we played one on one baseball, we would right down the lineups of every MLB team and mimic their the players batting stance as we went through the lineup. You get a hit run to first and then you'd have a ghost man on the base and come back to hit again.

In high school? Lots of homework (I went to prep school). I was also in the band so my Saturdays were spent at football games marching. Those were some good times.
