What would you do longer trip vs. deluxe hotel

I would definitely opt for the longer stay. If you are able to stay 7 days at a moderate I would definitely chose that.

To me, the parks are the most important thing. I spend very little time in the room.

Is your budget based on rack rates? Since you are going in November, you should be able to get WL or AKL fairly cheap then. You may be able to do both if you use a good coded rate.

I had the same dilemma when I was planning my trip. I decided to rent points to stay at the Beach Club Sun-Thurs, and got AKL with a code for Fri-Sat. This way I was able to stay 7 nights, and still stay at deluxe resorts. :smooth:

no codes are yet for october.
as to the OP i would definetly stay longer in a moderate.they all look beautiful.

One other bonus to think about with renting the DVC points--No additional tax!

The going rate for renting DVC points is $10 per point, and you might be able to get the Boardwalk or Old Key West for 11 points/night ($110/night) without the 12% tax that Disney adds.

I almost went that route with the OKW resort, but then (at the last minute :p ) the AP rates came out for $74/night (82.50/night with tax) at CBR. And it was too good to pass up!

For $27.50/night more, I could have had OKW. But I would rather have the three extra days at Disney and try the CBR.

I would rather stay longer at the moderate resort. I really think the moderates offer alot for the money, it's not like you will be slumming those extra days.

Plus to me you lose the day you check in and the day you check out, so the more days you can stay the better to really have time to see everything at a slower pace.

Go for the longer trip, that is extra days of wonderful memories.

I would also choose to stay longer at a moderate. The other thing you could do is split the trip between 5 nights moderate and 2 nights at the deluxe. Cut back on something else to make up the difference for 2 nights at the deluxe.

Good luck deciding!!!:)

We just returned from the Polynesian. This was our first trip and it was wonderful. However, we've already decided that our next trip we will stay in a moderate, we really liked Port Orleans, and then we'll stay our last 2 or 3 nights at the Beach Club. We decided that the days we were at the parks, we hardly used the resort. We have 2 young boys, so this way they also get two pools! I think there are pluses to the moderates and to the deluxes, by splitting the trip you'll have the best of both worlds. I think it will be inconvenient to move rooms, however it will be worth it in the long run. We are also considering staying at the Swan/Dolphin for our first part. We looked at that hotel and also liked it! Have a great trip.

I'd rather stretch out my vacation. I like going longer and the moderates are not that bad. I really enjoy CBR and would like to stay at CSR one day. To me no one thing can make or break a vacation. So just do what you feel like you want to in your heart.
