What Would You Do In This Situation?

So I have two cousins, one's 20 and one's 14. They have been coming over (and will be coming over) for two weeks, this week and last week. They come over and are fixing up my house, like painting, putting up gutters, little stuff like that. I don' think either of them are very cute, they're my cousins, right? Is it mean to think they're pretty butt ugly? Well anyway, the other day I had my friends over and they were totally crushing on my cousin. They're super obsessive now, they want to keep coming over just to see him. It's totally creepy and I'm not sure really what to tell them and such. Plus I don't even think they really have a chance with him since he lives like a while away. But they're around his age so it could work out but I'm not sure what I should tell them, or him.

Well, I would accept that my cousin was maybe a little attractive on the outside, but isn't it personality that counts? If they were real friends they'd understand how awkward it would be for you if one of them even dated, much less married, the guy. But think of it on the bright side, if they got married you'd be related to one of your friends, in a weird sort of way, right?

Well then maybe you should tell them that.
Or maybe the cousins' personality is just that way around you because that's what cousins are for. Me and my cousins are always irritating one another and personally I could tell you I feel that my cousins have awful personalities but I don't know if I'd really say awful.
Have you ever seen your cousins around other people? Like friends, girlfriends? Even parents? I doubt they'd act the same way around you as they do to their parents. Maybe they are just trying to impress you but they don't know how to.

ummmm no. they are just as crazy and annoying around me as they are around their parents, friends, and other people. sure i love to irritate them, but i wouldn't want my friends getting treated like my cousins would treat me. do you understand that? and why would my cousins want to impress me? im their cousin, not some stranger on the street.

Okay, well, maybe your cousins would treat your friends differently. Maybe your cousin is just "awful" to you because you irritate him? What if you spent a day trying to be nice to him and didn't irritate him? Maybe you'd see if he was really maybe kinda nice.
It's really nice that you're looking out for your friends in that way but maybe tell them to move on or something. Tell them how you feel and to go after other guys. Maybe they will understand that you don't want them to like that cousin and maybe they will understand? Hopefully.

maybe. but i've known these two for years. i highly doubt i was able to irritate them when i was 7 or something. i wasn't that smart. lol. haha being nice to them? as if! if they weren't so crazy i wouldn't have to be mean. and if i did start they would probably just laugh at me.
believe me. if i thought my friends could move on, they would've already. thanks for your good luck. i will be needing it very soon.

Ohhh well sounds like they have a little bit of attitude but I'm sure it will all work itself out. I mean, they're only going to be there for a week. I'd let them have their little fun, it's probably just a little crush and those are very harmless little flings. Sometimes they can just be fun, so I'd let them think they could have a chance with him. Just make it obvious you don't really approve so they don't have a chance to blame the whole thing on you if it goes down badly, hopefully it won't, though.
And no problem, you'll probably need lots of it, haha.

and they better not blame me. that wouldn't be very nice.
and i will be sure that if i don't use all of your good luck for this. then maybe i will use it to find some new shoes. lol
