If a person you were conversing with had

1.A huge Booger in their nose that was very visible
2.Spit when they talked
3.Had HOT STANK BREATH that would peel paint of the walls

WOULD YOU

1. Ask nicely if they would like a piece of gum or tic tac
2. Quietly tell them they have a BOOGER in their nose
and hand them tissue.
3. Step back to avoid the facial spit wash
or would you just stand there thinking" DAMN Why Me"

My daughter's teacher has breath that would "BOIL OIL" IT IS JUST THAT HOT(CAN WE SAY HOT DUNG). I MEAN IT WILL BRING TEARS TO YOUR EYES. I thought my daughter and her friends were kidding when they spoke of this woman but "OH MY GAWD" I thought I was going to black out from holding my breath.

It depends on my relationship with the person. If a teacher, I would just try to avoid it. Friends... tell them. I had chronic halitosis before I got my tonsils out, so I got pretty used to hearing that from my boyfriend. I chewed lots of gum and drank lots of water. I'm still paranoid about it.

Offering gum is always safe, I'd think.

Uhhhhh. . move into a different school district????

;)

:teeth:

We had a teacher like that in 9th grade. We left a wrapped bottle of scope on his desk.

I will tell the person if I like them. I have told total strangers that they have food in their teeth. Now as for the bad breath it's harder for me to do. I really can't stand sprayers, all those germs flying around. YUCK :( I just back off. I also can't stand those people who don't respect my personal space. OH that drives me nuts!!!!

Offer her a mint every time you see her. Have your daughter and friends do the same. I think she may get the message.;)

I had to laugh at this one!!! YEARS ago (jr high) I was in class with this guy that had a HUGE green booger hanging and my boyfriend (nowdh) told him point blank "hey man you've got this HUGE boog hanging"!!!!! Now to this day whenever I run into him or see him at a class reunion my eyes go directly to the nose!!!

Spitters I try to avoid . I will keep stepping aside or back to avoid being sprayed.

Bad breath is a tricky one. It is embarassing to find out you have bad breath. If it is bad but not TOO bad I try to not get so close but I have been is situations where we would buy toothpaste and wouth wash and leave it for them. Years back my sisteer had major breath and I just told her point blank. She FINALLY went to the dentist about it and he told her to use Viadent mouthwash and toothpaste.

1. Tell them they might want to blow their nose.

2. Joke that "I asked for the news, not the weather". :teeth:

3. Offer them a breath mint, heavily implying that it would behoove them to take it of they first refused. I was always told to never turn down a breath mint...it might be a hint & the worse case scenario means my breath is extra minty.

In all cases I would do them as discretely as possible. I would tell them though, just because in all those cases if it were me I would want to know.

Trust me, she knows. Bad breath that is that bad generally gets worse with breath mints. I know from my own experience. I NEVER take a breath mint when offered one - you want BAD breath you can smell across a room, give me a mint. The sugars in mints and mouthwashes make everything worse. If you happen to have a sugar free, alcohol free breath freshener made for people with breath problems - feel free, but until then stay out of it.

There are products available on the internet and in health food stores, but I've had the best luck with "Biotene" which can be found in most drug stores. (mouthwash, spray, and gum)

I knew to avoid breath mints etc. because my mom uses them. I can hardly stand to ride in a car with her if she's chewing gum. She thinks it's helping and I can't talk her into using the other products. Most over the counter products are made to mask small odors - NOT to take care of chronic halitosis.

I would tell someone if they needed to sipe their nose - that can be taken care of easily. I would back off if someone was spitting.
