What would you do if you weren’t satisfied with guest service?

How did you deal with being disappointed with Disney customer service. When I broke up with my ex for the trip I was planning I decided I needed this trip anyway and he agreed I need to take my friend. I called Disney to change him on my plans and they reassured me my magicband would be shipped to my house and not his, but they were shipped to his and he held them hostage unless I saw him again which I was not ready to do. So I called again and they told me I could get new bands at front desk. This is so inconvenient to me since I like using mobile checkin and was looking forward to decorating my band. I know it’s just a small inconvenience but I’m just really upset by this and I’m starting to kind of dread my trip. Idk. I am just wondering what have u done?
You’re upset now, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s really not a big deal. You can still do online checkin, you just have to swing by and pick up your bands. Maybe treat yourself and buy yourself a themed band.

If your uncomfortable seeing your ex, you could always ask a friend to pick them up. Last fall, I received four sets of other people’s magic bands in the mail.

You could order new Magic Bands from Disney Parks shopping app, if you really don't want to see him and you really badly want them in advance.

I would have gone into my MDE and noted the ("hostage") band as lost. Then I would have purchased one band from Shop Disney if I really didn't want to wait for a band until I arrived.
No reason to start kind of dreading a trip, fix the things you can.

Yup. Go into your account and deactivate the bands your ex has. Then go online and buy new ones. It is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Make sure your ex's address and info has been expunged from your account in every conceivable way. Chamge your password if you have to as well.

I would have gone into my MDE and changed the MB shipping address prior to them being shipped . . . I would also change my password right quick if ex has access.

Here are the unfortunate circumstances, WDW is a gigantic operation and, many times, the right hand is not speaking to the left hand. By the numerous and frequent posts just on this board, we know Disney IT is crap (and that's an understatement). A phone CM "assuring" you the MB's would be shipped to you is par for the course. They usually have no clue what they are talking about. The only thing you can do, at this point, is to deactivate the MB's in your ex's possession and either buy new ones or pick up new ones when you arrive. Perhaps bring things with you to decorate your MB's once you arrive. Don't let this ruin your trip. I've been there. I, too, once had an ex hold possessions hostage unless I saw him again. I said "bye-bye" to the stuff. It's just stuff. Try to let it go. Don't let your ex ruin your trip!

I would also buy new bands. This is a simple fix and not worth getting stressed out over it.

Have a great trip!

Do you have old MBs from a previous trip? Use one of them. They're interchangeable.

They made a mistake. You can purchase some bands, wait until you get there, use old bands if you have them, or try to get your bands back from your ex. If you'd like to tell Disney that someone reassured you the bands would be sent to you and then they weren't, then you can send them an email (I don't recall the exact email.) If you just want to deal with being so upset that you are dreading the entire trip, there's no real way for anyone else to control that. If the ex has access to your Disney account I'd remove him from it.

It could be wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com , although that email may be for issues in the parks rather than issues with CRO.

And for the OP - don't allow the ex to take up space in your head with his mind games. Get over the MB thing and have a good time on your trip. The whole MB thing is just not worth the aggravation you're allowing it to cause you.

I'm not sure how they made a mistake. When you customise your bands, you enter the shipping address. Unless the shipping address for the bands was her address and they shipped to his, nobody made a mistake at all. And honestly Disney Guest Services can't do anything about this now.

Unfortunately, it's not on purpose or something CS can control.
Not really.
The MB system is automatic and the resort people you talked to can't update/change/intercept the MB shipment. Even you can't if you try to change the address too close to shipment. The MB come from somewhere else.
Now, they should have told you that, should have known they can't stop or intercept the MB from going to the original address. That is where the miscommunication came from but that's simply because the people you get on the phone are so removed from the Resorts themselves they likely didn't even know they couldn't actually intercept them.

Report your bands lost and get new ones shipped to a different address. Hopefully this time they will change the address. Tell them you need to ship to work due to loosing the last set. They don't need to know about the Ex issue.

They didn't tell her to change the shipping address in MDX when she asked. Of course whoever she asked probably had no idea that's what she needed to do. There aren't people who monitor the magic band shipping schedule, the computer does that. But telling her that the bands would be sent to her and then not mentioning that the shipping address needed to be manually changed by the guest was a mistake. They should have been able to say that they couldn't do anything about where the bands were shipped if they had already been shipped.

No, there's nothing Disney can do.

I still get stuff sent to my house with a weird combo of my name and family member's names that I have traveled with. I get promos from them too that will be my e-mail and zip code with my sister's last name. They get stuff confused a lot for some reason.

So inconvenient? Really upset? Dreading trip? Take a deep breath and relax!

What will you do if your room isn't ready upon check in?
If a ride breaks down when you have a FP?
If a stroller cuts you off while walking in the parks?

Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill...my dear grandma used to say
