What would you do? (Fantasmic pkg)

Yesterday was our day to make ADRs and our TA made them for us. We got all the ADRs we wanted and she also booked the Fantasmic pkg for MM on one of the days. MM was not one of the places we wanted to eat, we ate there a few years ago with the Fantasmic pkg and weren't all that impressed with the food. The upside is that we would have guaranteed seating at Fantasmic, the downside is I'm not so sure we would enjoy the meal. With wait times for Fantasmic at upwards of an hour, what would you do? Keep the package and eat a meal that we're not excited about or keep the ressies for 50s prime time and wait in line for Fantasmic?

We are in the same situation as you. We WANTED Mama Melrose, but Brown Derby was the only one available for a party of 6. We don't want to fight the crowds and maybe still not get a seat for Fantasmic! So I went ahead and booked the Brown Derby. I am going to keep trying to get MM package. Hopefully something opens up. If not, Brown Derby it is.

The Fantasmic package is probably the only reason that would get my family to return to MM. The 50's has much better food and is more fun. But with the reported wait times for Fantasmic, I think I would go with the guaranteed seats at the show. Its not like MM is bad, it just isn't all that good. Kind of like an overpriced Olive Garden without the free salad and breadsticks!

I wouldn't go back to MM if you paid me. We ate there last year with the Fantasmic package and would never do it again. I would not waste money eating there. But that's just me!

we liked Mama Melrose last September, and we'll be back there in a couple of weeks doing the dinner package again. The reported line-up times for Fantasmic are upwards of 2 hours now -- even with the dinner package they're telling people to show up 1 hour before show time because it's standing room only long before show starts.
