What would you do? Early MM twice or fireworks?

We've never been when there is a 7:00 a.m. Magic Morning, so the earliest we've been at the gates is 7:40 for an 8:00 a.m. opening and that was pretty easy for us. We've also never been during the holiday season.

It's me, DH and DD5. Although DD5 understands in theory that she needs to nap in order to stay awake for the fireworks, we were not successful on our last trip. We had full days and did a lot, but we missed out on the nighttime entertainment because our DD5 was sound asleep by 7:00 p.m. She just can't seem to fall asleep during the day anymore.

We will be staying at the PPH on Friday after Thanksgiving through Monday. We will have 7:00 a.m. MM on both Saturday and Sunday. But I would love to have her stay awake on Saturday night to watch the fireworks and see the snow fall on Main Street.

What would you do? If we wake up at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday to do MM and she doesn't nap that afternoon, would you skip the fireworks so that she can get a good night sleep and we can do another early MM day? Or would you let her stay awake for the fireworks, knowing that she may be a disaster and that we won't be able to do the MM at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday?

Thanks!

She's 5? Honestly, I'd get a stroller and let her sleep during the fireworks. The holiday fireworks are amazing. If she stays awake by chance, great. We are looking at similar circumstances although my children are older, it's hard for them to go all day and still make a late showing of Fantasmic!

I agree my youngest stayed in a stroller until she was 7  my husband made me get rid of it. Anyways I took it everywhere and if she was tired she slept...otherwise it would not of been fair to her older sisters.

Thank you! I think we will give it a try!

We'll take a late afternoon break after waking up at 5:30 for the 7:00 a.m. MM and hope that she takes a little rest. Then we'll have dinner in DTD at 6:30-ish and plan on Main Street for the 8:45 Fireworks.

I always put our 5-year old in the stroller, especially for a trip like Disneyland. Good idea to have it for the fireworks. If she sleeps, at least we will get to see it. And if she is awake, then great!

What time would you leave the PPH to get to Main Street for an 8:45 firework show?

Thanks!

Another option is to watch the fireworks from the pool area at PPH. Not quite the same but a good plan B.
