What would you do? BC vs. BCV

With the 3 thirteen year-old girls ,I would definately go for the villa -
Last year we stayed at both and I really enjoyed having the 1 bedroom privacy -and they can have there tv and free time too !
There is only a sofa bed ,and 1 bathroom still -
But My boys don't like sleeping together so I ordered a twin aorobed to bring ,and just flipped it up against the wall in the day -
Our villa ended up being pretty close to the main pool and a walk out to a quiet pool -(I really didn't want to be ground floor but it was fine ) and the kids liked it-
We are going to do BCV again for 5 days of our trip this year !
Have a great trip!

Our party consists of 2 adults and 3 thirteen year-old girls. Travel dates are late September. I could rent a one bedroom villa for about $1700 or hope for a genral public or annual pass discount of at least 35% and stay in the main hotel for $1653.

I will not be cooking, so the kitchen is not necessary. The washer/dryer would be nice, but I also don't mind schlepping to the communal laundry room, if necessary. Space and bedding are not an issue either. Four of us are perfectly happy in a value size room for a week and the girls are used to sleeping on air matresses for sleep-overs and camping.

Villa
-lock in rate now without worrying about possible discount rate
-decor not as nice as the main hotel
-guaranteed full balcony, but no chance of a good view
-separate rooms for adults and children

BC hotel
-could be late June or July before GP/AP discount rates are released and they may not be as good or cover weekends
-one room for everyone
-nicer decor
-may not get a full balcony
-may or may not have a good view

Please help me make this decision! I am driving myself crazy!!!!!

If you are booking the villa directly from Disney you can't do it. The BCV only has sleeping spaces for four. One king sized bed and one queen sleeper sofa. If you are booking using DVC points, they may allow five people, but you won't get towels for five or any extra bedding. DVC will not provide any rollaways or cots. You'll only get four bath towels with a DVC rental.

Thanks, Deb! Apparently, some of the other posts in this thread disappeared because your point was already discussed. I should edit the first post to clarify that we will be renting points and it's not official and one girl will sleep on an air matress we will bring and all the rest.

It's weird that four or five posts disappeared. :confused3

I'd still go with BCV. I know the space isn't an issue, but for roughly the same price, there's no way I'd choose possibility of a view over extra room to move around.

Also, you might not want to cook, but you still might find the kitchen to be very useful for snacks, plus if you're doing anything like filling water bottles or mister fans, it's great to have a sink that isn't in the bathroom where people are getting ready.

The set up for getting ready at BCV will be much nicer as you have more privacy due to the way the bathroom is set up. The bathroom is large and divided into 2 areas. One area - toilet, shower, and sink - has an entrance from the living area. The other area - whirlpool tub and sink/vanity - has an entrance from the master bedroom. These 2 areas are divided my a door, so you can go in between if you want, or close the areas off so each space is private.

Here's a floor plan if that wasn't clear: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/onebedroom.jpg

If you go with the DVC points stay, you can purchase an extra towel pack for $6. That would be four bath towels, two hand towels, four face cloths and an extra tub mat.

If you bring an aerobed, it should fit at the foot of the sleeper sofa or between the sleeper sofa and window (but that wil be tight). She can also put it under th breakfast bar area (move the chairs).
