May try this out this trip since we have the plus tickets. I am very uninformed about this place....I read the info on the facts page. But am curious about what is not to miss.

Thanks! :Pinkbounc

My three kids and I had a wonderful time at DQ (DW didn't). The one thing we enjoyed more than any other was Cyber Space Mountain.....you get to design and then ride your own coaster...we did it several times.

definetly Cyber Space Mountain!

i love designing my own roller coaster!

also the mighty ducks pinball thing is really great

as well is the pirates of the carribian 3-d pirate ship ride is great too

have a great time!!!

:thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1:

Alien Invasion is an awesome game the whole family can play. You go into a room that is suppose to be a spaceship. Two people sit facing the front window (one is the driver, all others are gunners)--2 people sit facing the back window. The goal is to rescue colonists on a planet and kill aliens. The driver and the people in the back have to communicate so the driver knows when to stop to pick up the colonists and when to go once they are "inside" the ship. It's lots of fun!

Mighty Duck virtual pinball is fun too. You stand on a platform which rocks, and you control your pinball by rocking the platform. (You're not controlling the flippers, but your actual pinball.) You play against 11 other people.

When you first enter DisneyQuest, you might just think it is a glorified arcade, but there are loads of cool, innovative things to do there. Adults can have a good time too!

The elevator when you go in is a lot of fun the first time!

Don't know what it is called, but I enjoyed the thing where you're in an inflatable raft, with oars, looking at a screen of a river and you bounce around as you paddle through the river. I got bounced out of the boat!

But, I'm thrilled that the kids are all old enough that they can be dropped off at Disney Quest while I shop. That place is a zoo. It is loud and dark. There are curvy corners all over the place. And kids yelling and zooming around everywhere. This is all perfectly appropriate for a video arcade, it just kinda got on my nerves.

But the boys adore it. It is their favorite place in all of WDW, with the possible exception of the McDonald's french fry kiosks.

My husband and I love the "Animation Academy". They have scheduled times each day. A cast member teaches you step-by-step how to draw a Disney character. Check the nearby sign for the times for each character. You sit at a desk with a computer screen and a "magic pen". If you make a mistake you can erase and re-do it. At the end of the session everybody's artwork appears on an overhead screen. Some of the renditions are hilarious!! You can also buy your artwork to take home.

Everything on the "Create Zone" floor is fun, especially for people who are not into all the loud video games or virtual reality/3D type attractions.

Disneyquest actually has many old classic arcade games like Pacman and Donkey Kong. They are on 2 different floors and are totally FREE!

Up on the 5th floor there is a counter-service place called Foodquest which has very yummy burrito/fajita wraps made fresh to order. :cool1:

so is everything included in the price of the admission because the foodquest and Cheesecake factory? Or is there some things you have to pay to play? We are doing the waterpark extras and using one of them to do DQ on our offpark day..

I think everything was included if I remember correctly. We played games like skeeball (where you roll the ball up the ramp) lots of times totally free. You just pay for any food you eat.

Great.. thanks.. I was hoping all was included as far as playing in there..

How old do the kids have to be before they can be dropped off? Might make me reconsider adding the plusses to our tickets....... ;)

I was pleasantly surprised at how much my entire family enjoyed DQ! Especially DH (he spent a lot of time beforehand asking questions and acting like he really didn't want to go). Of course our boys (16 & 12) loved it!!

DH and I enjoyed the Pirates game and the Jungle Cruise as well the Retro area (brought back lots of memories). I went on the Astro Blaster with DS (12) as well as Cyber Space Mtn. and we had a blast. I have to say I had way more fun than I imagined I would.

BTW, the food is not bad either. We were there for several hours so we had 2 "snacks" (1st time we had wraps and chips and dip, and before we left we had some cheescake...it was absolutely delicious!)

It is a matter of personal choice. When our youngest turned 11, and stayed with the rest, I said, "Bye-bye!" Before that, he wasn't "fun" enough for the others and I worried they'd "accidentally" lose him.

No, there are sections, I think "Replay Zone" is one of them, but don't remember, where you have to pay to play. But ALMOST everything is included with admission. I gave each kid $20 for the extras, and that was enough.

Honestly, they could easily have skipped the pay-extra stuff, but this is like their ONE BIG THING they look forward to at WDW. So, you know, as long as they don't whine TOO much about IASW and such, I want them to enjoy to the fullest the thing they look most forward to doing. (I don't spoil them often!)
:goodvibes

My favorite things are in the Create Zone- the classes where you can learn to draw Disney characters, and the music booth where you get to create a (hilarious!) song.

Another vote for Cyber Space Mountain. We even bought the video of our ride. However, I'll add this was really the only thing we enjoyed there. I would have been mad if DQ admission hadn't been included in our travel package and I had paid for it at the gate.

My DS's loved it(16 and 14)! I liked it, I'm not much on video games. I did the flying carpet thing and got sick.(I can be so much fun) Put POC was the best thing I have ever seen. It was worth the trip. We did not do any of the paid games just what came with the ticket and spent several hours playing. We will go back. I may shop while they play but they are big boys now.
