I have been looking at cheap tickets and there flights seem to run early arrival late depart , has anyone had this flight time before and how did you handle it

I would like to know what you guys do with your time after you leave the ship and are waiting to your late afternoon flight.

thanks Brooke

oh yes, and also are there car rental that will let you rent for the day, like when you get off the ship I will have around 7 or so hrs. until the flight is ready.

Well we like to Spend Saturday night when we get off the cruise at the World.... but there are alot of other options for the Day some folks get a day room at the Hyatt At the Airport hotel
use the pool and relax until there flight..

Rent a car Go to a theme park ... or some other attraction...

Yes, you can do a one day car rental and pick up at the port, drop off at the MCO area. Ideas....Space Center, FLorida Mall, Downtown Disney, WDW (make that an evening flight!), day room at the Hyatt....visit Sea World (also evening flight)....

We rented through National which has a location at the airport and at Cocoa Beach. They have a shuttle to the port from the Cocoa Beach location. We flew in two days before, rented a car, and stayed at WL. Our flight home left MCO at 3:30 p.m. We rented a car for the day, took the shuttle to National, picked up our car and were on our way to DTD. This was the last day of vacation, and the next to last day of Christmas vacation for my girls. We all went shopping in DTD, and had one last treat -- a sundae at Ghiradelli's.

I made my reservations at National three or four months ahead of time, and used all the tips and tricks available at www.Mousesavers.com, which is a great site for saving money while vacationing with Disney. (I hope the rules have not changed, moderators, Mousesavers does have a link back to the Dis boards....)

Have a great time!

I don't know when you are cruising , but blizzard beach is a blast ! I have not been to typhoon lagoon or river country but you might check into to it.

We rented a day room at the Hyatt in the airport and then relaxed by their pool and napped and watched tv. It was great to have a place to spread out and a private bathroom since we did not fly out until the early evening. Also, the airline would not check our luggage until 4 hours before the flight so it gave us a place to stash the bags.

Our flight doesn't depart until 5-ish. We're getting a rental car at the airport for the 1st leg of the trip, so we'll have it at Port after the cruise. We plan on hitting Kennedy Space Center between debarkation and flight time.

It's easy to find something to do.
