What would you do... airfare

I definitely would have made the change as well. I'm jealous of anyone getting a $59 fare right now...we have to fly from the westcoast and the airfare to MCO has been sooooooo high lately. :sad2:

Ugg! I know what you mean! We're on the west coast too and I managed to find airfare for $199 RT to MCO in Feb. But I'm totally jealous of $59 fares too!

$199 from the West Coast is a great deal! It's $59 one way and $129 back. So, I'm paying almost as much from Philly!

I hear they are planning some cruise in May?

Oh we don't want to ruin everybody's cruise, we have children.

Yea! Our rate for the return leg went down another $20!

Did you some of our credit to book our 1 yo son his own seat. I'm not a fan of lap kids and it's cheap enough. Now it's nearly like another seat.

Honestly thinking back about it now.... I should have booked the seat under the FIL's name. He's a big guy so, we could say his booking an extra seat and if the flights not full, get a credit.

Guess I shouldn't do these things too early in the AM.

Taking the savings was a definite no-brainer, and finding a dinner ressie that night shouldn't be too difficult. You should at least book something for 7pm, and if your plans change or the time doesn't work, you can always call and cancel or reschedule (clearly if you are posting on here you already have the WDWDINE phone number in your cell! :lmao: ) I am not finding great rates out of CT right now, but DW & I always have to fly on school vacation weeks (she has great benefits and a great schedule, EXCEPT when it comes to vacationing to WDW).

SO..............................Your messsage prompted me to check southwest for my Mousefest flight, and I just saved another $90!!!!!! Thanks! My question is this: Should we fly home on the 11AM flight or the 2:30pm flight? I was hoping to have a few hours in the morning to enjoy WDW, but the earlier flight would save us and additional $40 per flight. Should we give up any morning activity to save $80, or should we just stick with a flight schedule we want, enjoy the savings we have, and go home a little later?

Save $80 and go home earlier? OH, my vacation time is worth at least $100 an hour (my exaggerated calculation!). So, an extra 4 hours in the park... I'd need to save at least $400.

Honestly, I'd pay the extra $80 and stay on vacation!!! In the grand scheme of things, $80 isn't a huge sum of money.

Think about how you'll feel getting off the plane. You'll probably be back at 2:30, just as your later flight would have been boarding. BUT, you would have had a few hours of quality park time.
