What would you choose???

So, I got DH to agree to a desert party (of course I let him buy golf clubs...but a girl has to do what a girl has to do!)
When I kindly reminded him that if he got the golf clubs I would then be allowed the DP without a fight he replied, "I thought you wanted the cannon thingy's." I then explained that there are a list of extras on my wish list and that I have to decide what I really want and what is truly feasible.
I want the petal cannons especially b/c our whole theme surrounds the red rose from Beauty and the Beast (See PJ for story) I thought it would be a nice touch...
However, I really am thinking that maybe I just need to do go with...the guy...that brings the rings in...can give a toast...UM...I FORGOT WHAT THEY CALL HIM! Roughly the same price, but a little more for our money.
Mickey & Minnie are a definite either way. Mom's one request and I'm not going to blow that off...how often to you get time with Mickey and Minnie for your group only! That and it is SILs first trip ever to Disney...So, it's a nice touch...

So, what would you pick? Cannons or the guy???

I'd vote for the cannons. I don't see the appeal to Major Domo, I am assuming this is who you are talking about? —A Renaissance-costumed Major Domo will act as your ring bearer and carry your rings down the aisle in a glass slipper. I would only consider using him if you are having a very Cinderella themed wedding.

I'm all in for any kind of cannons!!! Well by any kind I mean confetti or petals (or marshmallows if they offered that option - lol).

I am kind of sad because I had to cut the confetti cannon from my plan - I have always wanted to have confetti cannons go off in my honor....however not for $500 extra!

OK, I vote for confetti cannons! The Major Domo is kinda cheesy IMHO.

The confetti cannons, on the other hand, look cool in pix!

Given I am going with a Cinderella theme(with Mickey & Minnie of course too) if I didn't have our DS or Twin DNephews to serve as our Ring Bearers, I would say Major Domo. I have to say from the picture posted, confetti cannons look pretty cool if you really want my honest opinion. I didn't think that would be an option to have inside the GFWP. Rose Petal Cannon would look pretty too.

Ok so...I'm hearing CANNONS!!!! I am hoping to get them with red rose petals instead of confetti...given our theming is after the rose in Beauty and The Beast.
Carrie-is there a price difference between rose petals and confetti???

We had Major Domo for our wedding and I was really pleased with him.

I had the cannons but I ended up cutting them in the end. They are nice and do make for some great pics in the end.

We had Major Domo do a few different things than normal so he didn't just walk in and stand. Plus, the guy we had that day was sooo FUNNY! He was a nice break from everything, and even stayed with all our guests at the pre-reception before announcing us and then leaving for the evening.

Another vote for Major Domo. It's not for the pictures...he adds a Disney element and alot of Wow to the ceremony and starts the reception off right. If you weren't buying into a Disney theme, he might not fit, but with your theme it sounds as if you are.

On the other hand the canons are primarily for pics, but you can get better ones of your guests tossin petals at you... And it is alot more involved for your guests.
