What would happen...

if VMK closed for a month?

We made vmk so much part of our lives, that if we don't even go on vmk for one day we lose our minds, and even if they are having problem for 20 minutes we complain.... what would happen if it was suddenly closed for a month due to techincal difficulties or something of that matter?

The havoc it would cause, we would be sitting in front of our computers biting our fingers nails because thinking that we have nothing else to do.

What about the parks? Would VMK central at WDW close it's doors? Would the Kiosk in Disneyland put up a sign be "back in a month"?

What about the fansites? Would people be sitting on the general or off topic boards talking about other things? the owners of the forum getting gypped because of the beloved game took a breather for a month...

Being the evil person I am, this is something I would pay to see!

On the brighter side, would this month breather actually help us break our addiction? Would it show us that there is more to life than just a game?

Maybe it will calm the anger and tension between people. Maybe it will actually slow us down, because we are always in a rush to get that top score on pirates, or trying to get that 30,000 credits or more to get the quest machine, etc..

Would make the kids do better in school, instead running to the computer when they get home, would they actually do there homework? As same for the adults, instead of sneeking on vmk durning work, could they get work done early?

Could this create more family time because vmk would be out of the picture?

Maybe taking a month break is a good thing...

We'd be creating stupid nicknames on DIS chat all day, everyday. It's not that we're addicted to VMK, but half of the fun is making new friends. If you missed a month of school or work, it would be the same because you'd miss out on your buddies. Yesterday we weren't even on VMK we (Virtual, Shadow, Stitchfan, Shelly, Luna, and Piglet and Toast were there for a bit) were competing on a different online game. So I with that being said, I think it's not about the game and it's collecables but the friends you have on it.

It would change very little if I were to skip a month, because I could talk to VMK buddies in other ways (MSN, DIS chat) thankfully, and friends are really the most important part. If we all actually knew each other I bet we'd be inseperable.

I agree with Milkabum...it's about the friends. I would not be bored If i were to go off for a month thx to the chat room ppl. You guys rock.

The whole reason I wrote this post, and not just because i was on medication that makes me very drowsy, quite insane and makes me think quite deeply about things, because I think we do need a break... reading some of the threads (not just on here, but on other fansites too) that I feel like if I say the wrong thing, or express my opinion on something that should be changed, I am going to get my head chopped off and get it served on a platter with some apples...

Yeah the friend part is true, and we do have aim, chat, etc. Thinking about more of the game part of vmk, maybe after that month break maybe the things that we complain about could be fixed, and maybe some of us who think vmk lost some of it's magic would finally appear again?

I do still believe it will cause chaos, some people have that automatic response to go directly to the vmk login page when they get on the computer... I have taken a week off from vmk, because I was extremely busy with school, and when I finally could get on vmk, I actually wanted to do stuff, play games, build rooms. Unlike a week that I play everyday of that week, and getting on and be bored with vmk, because i have no idea what to do....

Well, for about a day I'd cry. Non-stop. Then I'd go on DIS. Then I'd probably be okay.
