Tons of great universities, best healthcare in America, great tech scene, low crime, strict gun laws.

But we have awful weather and a very high cost of living so there's that.

Good university system and excellent community colleges. Reasonable cost of living and good health care. Near two big cities. Great neighbors.

supposedly the bulk of people who move here from out of the area are initially exposed to it during a visit to their kids in college (we have 2 private/3 public close by) or for a big touristy events-they are initialy struck by the beauty and the wealth of both summer and winter outdoor activities as well as the arts community. they start to dig down and realize the cost of living is lower but the cherry on top is no state income tax.
