What would be a better plan?

Ok, suggestions on what would work better please? We arrive late on the night of 11/25 so plan is do MK on 11/26 because I feel like we need to start our trip with MK because I just want our first Disney experience to be walking in and seeing the castle and starting off with a ride on Small World. We also would like to do the Ohana bfast on our first day. Problem is, that's the Saturday after Thanksgiving so crowds are nuts. We have hoppers so if MK gets too nuts we can head somewhere else but my question is this. Taking crowds into consideration, should we try:

1- Rope drop MK, do as much as we can and then do a late bfast at Ohana at 11:45. Then we could go back to the hotel after and rest/swim or whatever and play the evening by ear. Just concerned my kids will be so excited and not want to leave MK after only a couple hours. But we could always go back that night for parades/fireworks.

2- Sleep in a little, do a 9:50 bfast at Ohana then head to the parks and just see what we can do and leave when we've had enough of the crowds. This worries me because I feel like we'd be getting there right when crowds start to get nuts.

3- Scrap Ohana bfast all together and try it for another day and do as much MK as possible until we get sick of the crowds.

My kids are young (5 & 2 at time of travel) so that's another consideration and we are staying at CBR.

MK is likely to open at 8AM that day, regardless, so I would do 1 or 3.

Thank you, I feel like those are probably the better options as well. I kind of hope they don't open at 8 because we don't land until 8:30 the night before and I know my kids will be excited so they will get to bed late and I don't think we'd make it by 8. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see!

I would do #3, but I would also maybe consider Crystal Palace for breakfast. They have a fantasic breakfast and with you kids ages Winnie the Pooh is a great choice, plus then you are already in the park so you don't have to worry about leaving the park. Maybe if the park does open for 8 AM, you could try for like a 10:30 ADR...that gives you pretty much 2 hours of RD time and then a later breakfast and then you can go back to some rides. On another note try and schedule FPs for the afternoon when the park will be the busiest.

I would scrap 'Ohana and try to get breakfast or lunch at Crystal Palace.

I really want to do 'Ohana breakfast at some point because my daughter loves Stitch so I think we'll just have to find another day. I don't necessarily want to add another character meal because we already have a lot but I will look into Crystal Palace though not sure how easy it is to get. I think for now I'll scrap 'Ohana this day and do LTT for lunch because that's another one I wanted to try anyway. Thanks for the suggestions. I think you're right about doing lunch in the park is a better idea.

I definitely wouldn't waste a park day at an out of park restaurant. Maybe the day you leave, go for a breakfast to wrap up the trip?

That's not a bad idea. We will probably still do a park on our last day because we have a late flight but we could maybe do an earlier breakfast there and then head to the parks for a little bit. Thanks for the suggestion!

Typically we go to 'Ohana Breakfast on our departure morning. It is one of our favorite character meals, and like your daughter, we all love Stitch. LTT is a nice lunch.
