I have been doing yoga now for a month.
I picked up a DVD from wal-mart, for $5, by Louise Solomen.
I love it!
Highly recommend yoga to everyone.
I have sciatica from an inflamed vertebrae, it affects my right leg and foot. What a difference doing the yoga has done. No more pain when I wake up or while sleeping. Saved me from chiropractic visits.
Any rate, the DVD I have is a beginners yoga/pilates workout.
I also ordered from overstock.com a video, Yoga for Dummies, which takes you through twelve basic poses. I enjoy it as well.
If you are serious about the yoga, then you can find supplies much cheaper on Ebay than in a store. Mats, stretch bands, blocks.
I use a camping mat and lay a towel over it. Use two folded hand towels for support/cushions. Ordered the bands on ebay.
Good luck! It is tougher than it appears and after one month, I am seeing a real difference in my arms. More strength and muscle tone.
