1 day old - cook it!!! IF it has been refrigerated. WTH - 2 days old we cook it! 3 days if it is looking good - how long is the use by on cooked ham!!!!
We have left-over Mondays - with all the leftovers from Sunday roast! Gammon is best!! We make a quiche/rissoles/pie with all the meat and leftover carrots/peas/veg, then slice up left over potatoes and fry them in oil ... mmm...mmmmm..mmmmm It's got so we do double veg/potatoes on a Sunday, just so we HAVE leftovers to use!
1 day old... I'd eat it for sure! In fact, I just warmed up my leftover panini and fries from dinner last night and ate them for lunch today. Pizza will be eaten up to 4-5 days after it's ordered too, steak 2-3 days but it generally doesn't even last that long lol
Is this a serious question? Do you mean, "food that has been sitting around for ONE DAY?" If so, don't eat it. Don't even give it to the dog. Throw it out.
However, if you simply are referring to leftover food that has been properly refrigerated (put in fridge within 2 hours of being served), then why WOULDN'T you eat it? Unless you didn't like it...
