What will you be for Halloween at MNSSHP?

I thought this would be fun for those of us going to MNSSHP this year. We could share ideas, and get ideas. Besides that my family can't agree on a theme for our costumes this year. Last year we were characters from the Wizrd of Oz. We had a blast (see pic below). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We are a family of 4 who would like to do a theme. Keeping in mind we're traveling mid-late September(costumes can't be too heavy).

We had thought about going this year but hubby isn't wanting to dress up He said he would write the letter "P" on a white tee shirt and then black his eye so he's be a Black Eyed Pea LOL I decided that maybe we will skip the MNSSHP since were going to Universal's Halloween Party.

We always dress up, but looking at your costumes, which are VERY cool, we would melt in them and we go in October! I give you guys a lot of credit with the long sleeves and makeup! Awesome theme though...the Wizard of Oz is great! We try for things that are light are airy. One year we all went as pirates, another year we all got medical scrubs and dressed as doctors and nurses. This year I'm not sure we'll dress up at all, we just may wear our MNSSHP shirts from last year and call it a day. In a previous year we did do NBC characters...but everyone was miserable in the heat and wound up tearing apart their costume before the evening was over. We just can't take the humidity.

I am going as tinkerbell and my 3yr old is going to be peter pan. DH and 7yr old are dressing as super heros.

I was worried about the heat so I made crocs/short sleeve friendly costumes for my kids this year. My son will be Peter pan, all stretch cotton with short sleeves My daughter will be Wendy in a lightweight short sleeved dress I made her from silky fabric. I will be just me and DH will just be himself. My parents are going too and may wear something silly on their heads just to amuse the kidlets Kids are 2 and 3 by the way

Last year I DIED in my costume...i'm not a little girl, and wearing black velvet almost did me in...I was Maleficient. The girls were a 50s waitress and Raggedy ann. This year, Mom is going costumeless...and the girls will be a corpse bride and groom. (their idea)
okay...get ready to laugh...Mom looks real happy huh?

Did you make the 50's watiress costume? My DD10 wants to be this for halloween this year. I don't know where she got the idea, but I LOVE your DD's costume. If you didn't make it yourself can you tell me where you got it! Thanks

Yes, I made it..It was pretty easy. They sell a pattern, in any fabric store, Walmart...etc.. that I followed...and shhh...don't tell. I never hemmed the shirt..I forgot...
Here is a normal...well, not normal, but the take it yourself, in the bathroom, photo... , just to show you what I normally look like...the costume was NOT flattering...
