With the number of services / perks that have been cut or reduced over the past few years, what do you suppose will go next?

I think that what's been cut pales in comparison with what's been added.

Yes, EMH have been reduced. And there is Napkingate being discussed on another thread. And the mugs are all the same at all the resorts.

The only "big" thing I can see being cut is EMH. And even that isn't being cut totally. What else has been cut that you're upset about? I was there in 2007, 2009, and again this year, and didn't notice substantial differences.

well saying AoA is value resort and only having one section Little Mermaid being standard rooms and costing "more" than standard room at other values is a sneaky cut...and also starting 2013 POP and AoA will be "premire" values so will be priced higher than the All Stars resorts. and cutting the salad out of a signature meal or a TS meal was not good. but it is what it is looks like

One thing that comes to mind is the reduction to the dining plan a few years back. On it's own it wasn't too big a deal, but the little things start adding up and makes me wonder what the "bean counters :surfweb:" might be looking at next.

i also bet that free dining next year will be very limited.

as the discounts too.

~I don't know, but I believe WDW is in a moment of transition. Currently, I see a lot of "give & take". But, as of recent, I am encouraged by the commitment Disney has made by restoring and enhancing the parks. It's so exciting (for me), to see everything come together! There is a lot of uncertainty right now, but I am hopeful that it will all balance out eventually, and the end result will be fabulous![Expect to pay more, of course, lol!] :goodvibes

Transportation for non-resort guests (other than from TTC to MK/Epcot).

I haven't yet heard of a cut that impacts me directly, so I don't have any issues with how things are going.

To be fair, the pricing isn't the same at all of the moderates or at all of the deluxes, so why should it necessarily have to be the same at all of the values? AoA is a little more upscale than the other values (nicer pool, food court) and is obviously newer, so I don't have an issue with them charging more, as long as it's less than a moderate room, which it is.

The suites there are less expensive than suites at the deluxe resorts. Yes, it's more expensive than getting 2 connecting value rooms, but you get the benefit of a table (which converts into a bed), a couch (which also converts into a bed), and a kitchenette.

I don't see AoA as a cut...I see it as an expansion.

OMG, you're right -- they're already gone from AK!!!

They never were in AK, we're they? That and lids. It's a environmental issue.

Ya know, here's what I think...
  • They're bringing back the low, low prices from 1971...
  • Old rides like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are coming back...
  • They are repairing EE...
  • No reservations will be needed for the restaurants...

Either that or they're closing down WDW for good.:rolleyes2

The thing that bothers me most is the EMH being reduced, that is one of the reasons that we stay on site! To have that extra hour in the morning ia a great advantage. Hope they restore EMH to what they used to be.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I'm betting that it WON'T be Bob Iger's bonus. If you're counting -it was in the $15,000,000 range in 2011, up around 10% from 2010.
