I am slightly concerned about where my 2 1/2 yr old daughter will fit in. She is a potty trained, extremely well spoken, well behaved young girl. I think Flounders will be boring and too immature for her. I also do not think that the Flounders staff will want her there with all the younger toddlers and babies around. Do they even have a bathroom for her to use there??? What can I do with my little princess???

if she's fully potty trained will they allow her into the Oceaneers Club?

The club won't allow a 2 1/2 YO in unattended regardless of potty ability. You are more than welcome to accompany your child to some of the events in the club and supervise from a distance away, but you will have to stay for her to participate in the clubs. If you do need some time away (ie Palo, Spa) Flounders will be fine. They have age appropriate toys for all the ages they watch, and they share the bathroom with the Oceanear's Club, there is a door between the two in the back.

On our June 2004 Western, our 2 year 7 month old dd was allowed in the club without parents and did just fine. She did a trial visit and was fine for the week, spending about three or so hours a day there and loved it. She had been potty trained since 18 months so the bathroom wasnt even an issue for her.

I believe she was the youngest in the club that week, but there were several other "not yet three year olds" who were also trying out the club.

She is now officially three (and a quarter) and going back in two weeks and so excited about "her club".

We cruised when my daughter was 2 1/2 and she hated flounders, said all the toys were for babys and there was nothing to do. They have a lot of toys but there are like 10 of each, not a heck of a lot of variety. They do have a TV there with cartoons playing so that might interest her. Hopedfully they will let her in the clubs since she is potty trained. They have tiny little toilets in the bathroom at the clubs, my daughter had no trouble at all and she is really weird about going into public bathrooms but she did just fine with those!
