We are staying DLH Sept 19-25. We stayed the same week last year and it was great - perfect weather and NO lines anywhere. We are taking DD2 and DS3 so this is ideal for getting through the parks quickly and easily.

However, it seems like the hotels are booked for that week this year. Some are saying it is due to conferences/conventions. Any insights as to whether the parks will be busier this year? This week is pre-Halloween so we thought it would be dead again this year. Anyone know anything?

Im just going to be straight. the economy tanking has forced Disney to draw in the crowds like a Chinese soccer game. it might be crowded, might not. the thing i noticed is, that no matter how crowded it has been recently, the lines for the attractions truly do not reflect it. The lines are fairly decent :) heck, Space not too long ago was only 20 on a severely busy day. Whats that say? haha

I know it can be frustrating, im there a lot (i work there haha)

in short dont be discouraged by crowds.

We were there at the same time last year, what perfect weather are you taking about? It was hot and humid, high 80's and really high humidity so it felt like 100. I should know, I feel sick in anything above 95 cause I have a bad heart. And I felt sick the 4 days I was there!

Last September was pretty darn warm here in LA. Not sure about the humidity ... we don't really get that, especially compared to other parts of the US. Hopefully September will be a little cooler this year though - I'll be there too in Sept.!

The temperature varies here in Sept. from year to year - sometimes Sept. is very mild. Nights are generally cool and very comfortable regardless ... nothing like July or August, when even nights can be uncomfortably warm.
