What will my sons think of CRT?

I haven't eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table since I was a little girl. I'm 32 now and want to go, but my sons will be 14 and 11 at that time. What happens at that restaurant? Is it all Disney princesses? Is this for breakfast only or for dinner and lunch too? It is a buffet? Is there a way to go without having to meet and greet anyone? I know the boys would get a kick out of eating inside the castle and they love buffets but the princesses would be a no go.

I haven't been yet, it's in the line up, but I do know that it is princesses for all three meals.

We ate there for dinner in 2005 with my 2 boys (10 and 8). If nothing has changed, then it won't be too girly for them. We saw Cinderella downstairs, but other than that there were no princesses. The restaurant itself is very nice, beautiful, ornate...nothing that the boys would notice. The menu was good. I am not sure my boys were impressed that we were in the castle.

I had never eaten at CRT so 12 years ago on a trip with DH and 7 year old GS I made ADR for breakfast. All I heard for months was "boys don't go to Princess breakfasts."

I have to say both loved the breakfast and the loved the Princesses. In a room full of Little Starry Eyed Princesses waiting for a Princess to visit their table, my Two Prince Charmings where quite a hit with the Big Princesses.

Considering your boys are 11 & 14 and they aren't really interested in a pretty expensive meal I would give them the option to opt out of this meal. If you and your DH really wanto to dine at the castle then give the boys the afternoon evening off to do as they wish. Let them rid whatever they want while you two dine leisureley. The 14 year old probably has a cell phone, let him "be in charge" and have him direct the younger child through the queue of a few big attractions while you and DH have some alone time.

Honestly, like everying else in life, some boys will love it, some won't.

And, how big a deal the princesses make of your young prince charmings will depend on how they perceive your boys are responding.
