We are arriving Sunday, April 25th and plan to do 4 days at Disney, then switch to Universal/IOA for 2 days. I have booked on site Disney for 6 nights, but I am considering moving to Universal on site for remaining two nights to get the front of line perk. My question is whether or not this is even necessary based on the time of year we are going. From what I've read this is a slower week (??). Can anyone give me a sense of what the crowds might be like this week. Thanks.

Park hours are 9-7, so fOTL can be worth it, especially at Shrek and Jimmy Neutron, Spider-Man and Hulk.

Crowds can vary greatly, so the waits could be as little as 10 and as high as 45-60(rare). The average during this time is 20-30 minute waits.

I would switch hotels if I were you. The FOTL would be nice, especially since the weather will be heating up by then, and it's so nice to have the hotels so close to the parks.

Where are you staying at WDW?

We will see you there. We always go end of April and while you could use the express pass kiosks and get most everything done in a reasonable time I would still suggest staying on-site. The hotels are beautiful and FOTL is excellent, and also it is very relaxing to walk out of your hotel onto a boat and be in the park within 10 mins.

We are stayinga at Pop Century on Disney ($84/night x 2 rooms) with CAA discount. I'd love to switch to on site Universal for last two nights, but the rates are pretty high and we'd only be able to afford one room (there are 5 of us). Do they ever run any Spring discounts?

 That is the time of year that we go. (Sob, not this year) We find the parks to be fine. The crowds aren't that big. You do get a few stragglers from Spring Break. But, then again, we're used to going to Cedar Point, were crowds are huge. So I gues we're used to waiting. We find the weather perfect. Not too hot, but , not too cold.

We get there first thing and stay till 5. We don't get to see EVERYTHING in both parks. But, we skip most of Suess Landing (our kids are older). We do sit down fora nice lunch to take a break.

I even thought about going to HRH also. But we have 5 also. They do allow a roll away in the room for $25 I think. But I thought that it wasn't worth spending all that money for FOTL because, like I said, we didn't have to wait too long for anything. The longest was the Jurassic Park ride which was about 20 min.

Next year we're staying 4 days so we can see everything and do a few things offsite. We'll be there April 29, 2005.:teeth:

Don't worry...have a great time !!!!!!

We're also going to be in Fl during this week - Glad to hear the crowds will not be much of a factor - Does anyone have any advice regarding which days are best to visit the Universal Parks?
