What will Be Our Guest be?

I understand the restaurant is going to be a CS during the day and a TS at night. I'm just wondering if any more info has been released. Is it supposed to be like CRT? :confused3

You see, when my wife was pregnant with our daughter, the Disney Store was selling a limited edition Belle gown for kids. This was not a costume dress, nor was it priced like one. I just remember saving up some extra money and cashing in some rewards point for it and I bought it for our daughter. This was before we even "knew" whether it was a boy or girl, but somehow I just knew. :thumbsup2

Anyway, I was planning having her wear it for her first time meeting the princesses and having dinner at CRT. When I saw it, I just pictured her holding my hand while walking towards the castle for her royal banquet. But Be Our Guest, if indeed it's going to be a character dinner like CRT, might be better since it's a Belle dress. Is there a link or any more info that I can get more details? Thanks in advance!

No more info has been released. The prevalent rumor is that it will not be a character meal.

So sad to hear. Hopefully the rumor isn't true. Thanks for the feedback!

Another option is The Princess meal at Norway in Epcot. Belle is there.

Waiting with baited breath on this one.

The big thing I'm wondering at this point (in addition to when the restaurant will open) is whether dinner will be 1 TS or 2 (I've heard raw speculation both ways but absolutely nothing from any official source - or even from someone who claims to have inside information). Also wondering what the approximate OOP cost will be for those not on a dining plan.

The other thing that will be impossible to know (even after Disney releases details relating to the above) is whether the food and experience will live up to the hype. I have a trip planned for early December and can't decide whether I should book this (and I'll probably need to do so quickly once they start taking ADRs) or go with a tried and true. I'll probably start out booking a tried and true and then have to make a quick decision whether to switch once BOG is open for ADRs.

Who knows what this place will end up being. I don't see it being a character meal, but we don't know that.

And my guess is it's only going to be 1TS credit. Again, who knows.

Either way, I think I'll book an ADR for it just to try it out. I'm excited for a new dining option in MK and I am really really hoping this lives up to the hype.

Not wanting to sound tooo cynical, but given all the speculation about this dining venue since it was first announced, I'm willing to bet hard cash that it can't possibly live up to the hype! Just like a lot of other Disney additions, in the period between announcement and reality, there is such rabid anticipation, speculation and imaginations running amok, that I doubt that anything could live up to the images percolating in people's heads.

Having said that, I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like and what the food offerings will be, but with a (I hope) wait and see, don't get your hopes up attitude.

What's sad to me is that it's TS only at dinner. I like to go against the norm and eat TS at lunchtime, CS at dinnertime. That makes for far less crowded, calmer resturants. I don't know when or if I'll be able to try this one.

is it bad that i'm kinda excited that its rumored its NOT going to be a character meal? :confused3 only for the fact that there is CRT already in MK. So having this without the characters will be appealing to my friend who when we go doesn't want to do character meals, while the rest of us do. ( his exact words, he actually said, you guys go do character meals... I'll eat by myself... so that changes my potential ADRs :headache:)

though it could be nice to see a Lumiere or Cogsworth like they do for Remy...

Definitely check out akershus in Epcot. You get a professional picture of your child with belle in the yellow dress. It's so adorable!!!
